If you like August Burns Red, I'd recommend Texas In July if you haven't heard of them. Their drummers are both best friends, and they're both from Pennsylvania. Texas in July is a little more hardcore, but they've still got the insane melodies that August Burns Red also has.
There is only one thing better then JB writing it and that's you two playing it!!! Everything you dudes touch is gold, especially the KSE cover with your own solo parts. Very nice indeed!!!
Thanks for all the nice comments guys, I thought it would be cool to do a ParkWay Drive song after this one, its a possibility. Like its been mentioned we do more proggy-ish type of shit opposed to fast metalcore because the string skipping section in this song gave me some trouble, actually a lot of trouble but we'll see how things pan out guys. Take it easy. -Jordan
excellent stuff boys, youve obviously put a good bit of work in to that, well done, really pleased to see someone play this song well the whole way through actually!
I love this cover AND song! Major props on being able to do so well on this song! To the guy on the left, I believe you could've been a hair louder on the electric part, but it was acceptable and we could still hear you, seeing as you both kicked ass. I hope you respond! Thanks in advance!
The breakdown at the end is my favorite part in this song. You guys execute it so perfectly. Things like this make me wish I played guitar instead of drums haha Anyways, SICK AS HELL DUDES!
Another awesome cover guys. Still find myself going back to your starting over KSE cover from a couple years back (mainly for the kick ass solos) great job!
You guys are awesome. I've been practicing meddler lately and nailing the parts myself is tough. I can't even imagine trying to play with someone else around me haha. You guys are awesome!
@epit0me Another guitar strap being too high/guitar hero reference...Lol we don't do it to look cool. TWO reasons for me, 1) When they're real low I personally think it looks ridiculous 2) My arms aren't that long, and my wrists aren't made of steel, and I like to be comfortable and be able to hit all the notes as accurately as possible lol. -Jordan
Covering this song with Paul Reed Smith CE...NICE! I'm proud of you man. The CE has amazing clean tones especially for playing things like the intro in this song.
yeah if u could be this dead-on after only having a day or two to learn this, i'd love to hear some of the music u guys as a band could make. y'all got talent, good luck with ur gigs haha
I can play nearly all of their material. I would say once you finally get the the point of being able to sit down and learn/play ABR, none of it is really over-the-top "difficult". Songs that took the most practice for me, because I'm a perfectionist, were Pangea, Ocean of Apathy, 30&7, and Rationalist. Constellations was so lead-oriented lol. All the others have moments but these songs are non-stop leads, few quick solos, and amazing harmonies. This is all of course imo. Cheers!
@mstubbs88 You'd have to be deaf not to hear how much louder our guitars are than the track. The reason you hear the vocals is because the actual track is very obviously layered behind the recording of our guitars.
I think for this song we stuck close to the way the guitars are originally panned, but for others we just kind of pick who wants which leads so that it stays pretty balanced. Sometimes there will be a part that one of us is stronger at, it just depends haha. -Alex
It was recorded direct in using a plugin called Metal Amp Room. It was a long time ago though I couldn't tell you how I tuned it. We're using Fractal Axe-fx Ultra units now.
have to say its the first time ive ever seen nipple high guitar straps :~) lol couldn't resist joning in :P gd job ave watched few of your vids, you guys are great.
i wish i had a friend who would learn songs like this with me
the whole song sounds like it came straight off the album itself!! Thats how amazingly well done this is!!!
Ah dude no one can that outro you guys blew that up. That cover is sick
If you like August Burns Red, I'd recommend Texas In July if you haven't heard of them. Their drummers are both best friends, and they're both from Pennsylvania. Texas in July is a little more hardcore, but they've still got the insane melodies that August Burns Red also has.
It really is a pleasure to watch you guys tear it up on youtube. I appreciate your guys work...
Dang! I like the August Burns Red a lot. Another cover of them would be awesome.
Whenever i listen to ABR, i always seem to come back to this video! lol! Still have a fan over in the UK. Hope you guys are doing well :)

@xXBenjixBoyXx If you're asking about the guitar it's a 97' Custom 22. I don't have it any more and I miss it quite a bit.
yeah if u could be this dead-on after only having a day or two to learn this, i'd love to hear some of the music u guys as a band could make. y'all got talent, good luck with ur gigs haha

Friggin shweeeeet! Nailed that solo man. Was sick.

These two are legendary
10 stars from me awsome cover and skills keep it up guys
@Mexicanopkr We played direct into Pro Tools and used Metal Amp Room cab simulation for tone, along with some other plugin reverb etc.
-Alex
You guys at talented. If only I could play kickass like that...
the clean tone, sounded pretty spot on
@mstubbs88 You'd have to be deaf not to hear how much louder our guitars are than the track. The reason you hear the vocals is because the actual track is very obviously layered behind the recording of our guitars.
@josevcr13887 Thanks man!
Left: Prestige SV5470
Right: 97' Paul Reed Smith CE22
awesome cover guys!!!! i love it!!!!
Your timing is fucking amazing. This and the "a new reign" cover are sick.
I think for this song we stuck close to the way the guitars are originally panned, but for others we just kind of pick who wants which leads so that it stays pretty balanced. Sometimes there will be a part that one of us is stronger at, it just depends haha.
-Alex
God you guys nailed the tone. Nice.
YYYYYYEEEEEEAAAAAASSSSS!!!!!!! You guys rock!!! So jealous that you both have someone to jam with at that level. Im a single guitarist :(
You guys are some of the best guitarist on youtube.
You guys should do a few covers or atleast one of August Burns Red new album coming soon, would be orgasmic as always. Amazing music, ahh!

It was recorded direct in using a plugin called Metal Amp Room. It was a long time ago though I couldn't tell you how I tuned it. We're using Fractal Axe-fx Ultra units now.
