Here is a tip for playing this tank effectively. If you aren't going to use it for ramming fun, which everyone does, then use the terrain to hide your hull, use your high turret to shoot from mid-range, not too close and not too far, and it will work since its hull is great for bouncing shots even with high pen rate. I use the range circle on my mini-map as my guide and miantain that range on my targets. It works for the most part. Other than that, it's an awful tank.
Thx for such a great suggestions my friend! I tried in couple of battles to keep the distance and to hide weakest spots, but my team was in "Yolo" mood so i couldn't do much. It's a good tactic btw, when ever you try to make it work against targets who can easily damage you almost always when you're close range. All in all i was soooo unlucky in my first 15-20 battles that i thought I'm never gonna win couple of battles in a row. After all it ended well 😊 Have a nice day bro 💪🍻🍻
That's a great suggestion, but I cannot agree that it's an awful tank. It's one the best heavy tanks I have, better than 252U, for example. KV-5 has so much armor. Forget ramming, just play like a normal heavy.

In most of those battles i played enemies sniped me from literally any position they tried cuz tank has too many weak spots. Strange that you compared it to Obj. 252u who's actually bouncing even from higher tears especially from long distances. @@VioletGiraffe My opinion and suggestion is sometimes beginners-friendly "biased" cuz it's much easier for most of new or non experienced players to make Obj. 252u work, in compare to KV 5. When i have easy wins and easy dmg almost all the time, tank is for sure good for everyone cuz never mind i have 40k battles, I'm far from being a purple player with only a bit over 51% of wr. I had good games with KV 5, but i was struggling in most of them therefore opinion is based on that experience through 50 battles i played... 🍻🍻

This tank is only good for meme purpose, like full ramming build. Playing it the normal way is awful nowadays 😢
