Due April 24th. I cannot believe how fast this pregnancy has went by. I'm a first time mom, a little nervous but mostly so excited to finally meet this little guy!
I agree and think it’s SOOO important to do whatever makes you feel good and feel like you. My hormones went CRAZY after labor and putting on makeup, taking a shower, and changing into my own clothes helped me feel like myself! I had a c section though so spent 4 days in the hospital. But everyone is different, so do what works for you! Wish you all the best!

YES to the hand held fan! My delivery room had a fan in the corner and I would have DIED without it. I got so hot from pushing my mom kept putting cold cloths behind my neck and I felt sick. Bring a fan!!
I'm 38 weeks pregnant as well and I just packed my bag and posted my "what's in my hospital bag" today too! (it's my second baby too so I learned a lot my first time!) Im bringing the same fan for this delivery!! love the mister!

Yes, blanket and pillow. Had to go to the hospital yesterday for contractions and the room was so cold. I’m now at home and feel a little congested. Definitely adding a blanket to my hospital bag. By the way I’m 35 weeks and I wasn’t ready I’m so glad didn’t have to deliver baby yesterday. I’m packing everything today, just in case.

Exactly this week 2 years ago, i was preparing my hospital bag to have my little girl...i watched these to reminisce 😭 such a joyous time in a woman's life. I too was so extra with packing but my hospital was amazing and super generous, i went home with 80% of what i packed. Congratulations! Great job with your selections

after watching your last whats in my hospital bag video i went got a little portable fan and i used it doing labor a couple weeks ago and it literally saved me. i was so sweaty so this is a must need!!
When I went into labor I had on no makeup. The next, day after I had my son, I put makeup on and when the nurse and doctor came into the room they both said “oh wow a difference a day can make!” 😂 i felt so much better with makeup on and wish I would have put on a little during labor. Praying for you during this challenging time 🙏🏼
The one thing I didn’t get because I didn’t I needed was a long cord, I can’t tell you how many times I regretted not getting one!! I’m all for finding what works for you during this time! I’m glad to know you won’t be alone during Labor!! You’re almost there!!! Aaahhh

I’m right with you Liv! We go in April 1st for a scheduled c section for our second baby girl! Our hospital changed their visitor restrictions so once my husband and I are on the unit we can’t leave, so I had to update both our bags the other night to account for that. Really I’m just thankful he can be there with me, it makes me so sad to think of those mama’s that are going to have to go it alone because of this pandemic.

This is super helpful!! I’m a few weeks out from packing my own bag. One thing that might be worth checking on is whether your hospital will allow you to bring pillows and blankets from home given the coronavirus.
YESS! I wore the same Birkenstock slip ons while in the hospital after birth! They were a life saver! I used them in the shower & they also dried so quick while in the hospital! Definitely a must have!!

My second birth went so much smoother than my first. I pushed him out in like 3 pushes which maybe took 5 minutes. My husband also went home to be with our daughter the night after having our son.
I am pregnant with baby number 3. But my second son’s labor and delivery went a lot smoother than my first as well. Wondering if this will be smoother or harder than my first and second.!
Since my due date is Oct 30th, I told my fiancée that he can go home and go trick or treating with our son if we are still in the hospital on Halloween assuming baby #2 comes on time or shortly before who’s due date. Our son came two weeks early. His mom will most likely be at home with him while we are at the hospital. It would be nice if he came early (well before Halloween)!

You too young to think of how many kids you want. Start thinking about goals for your future darling. You have time in the name of Jesus to think that later on life. I'm saying that because it wasn't easy for me pregnant at the age of 18 and give birth 2 months after I turn 19 yrs old. But good thing I had got my diploma for whenever I'm really to go to college but it was hard dear. Now just turn 31 yrs old pregnant with my third baby wasn't expected that to happen because I was almost done for my NCLEX review to go take the government exam. Just have something ready for you so you won't struggle, because sometimes things can get hard believe me dear. It wasn't easy for me with two kids after I get to the RN program. Love you stay well and be positive.

This happened to me lol I got pregnant 4 months PP but I had no idea until I was 5 months pregnant. I was on bc and bled every month like a normal period but technically doesn’t count as a cycle! I’m due in 4 weeks and my son turned 1 last Sunday lol. It’s chaotic and so beautiful at the same time. I can’t believe I’m a mom of 2! Children no matter what though are little pieces of heaven on earth. Good luck with whatever happens 💞💞💞
When I had my daughter, I didn't bring makeup. I only had hair ties, chap stick, and mascara. And honestly, my face was so swollen and my hair was an absolute mess afterwards, I just felt like I looked absolutely horrible and did not want anything to do with picture. I'm so thankful that my sister actually brought her makeup bag and a little travel straightener with her. I needed a little something and she just whipped those out and helped her sister out... I was so out of it at that point but she put my hair up in a cute bun for me and did my makeup and it was one of the things that I remember made me feel so much better. It made my face look more like it normally does...less puffy, less red my hair was in a state where I was okay letting people take pictures. It seems like such a silly thing to worry about but it made me feel great!

Loving your video! I’m 37 weeks right now. Just a little PSA, I’m a German doctor (no OBGYN), I would never bring soft/plush/fabric slippers, you can’t disenfect them and clinic germs are multiresistente. Or plan on tossing them later, which seems a little wasteful when they are that nice! Good luck for the delivery, this corona pandemic just makes it so much worse.
Papiertiger I work as a nurse and was going to mention this as well! I won’t be bringing any slippers that I won’t be throwing out after, pillow/breast feeding pillow etc. I see a lot of people planning to bring those things, but right now I definitely wouldn’t.

I'm due April 26th and just now started packing my hospital bag. This had a couple extra ideas that I hadn't thought of (car seat cover and manual pump). I'm a FTM, but I would also suggest a bathing suit for those who plan to labor naturally, if they want to get in a birthing tub... I know that makes perfect sense, but it's one of those things that wouldn't immediately come to mind when you're looking at your bag going: "What did I forget? " Edited to add: SHOWER SHOES. Hospitals are gross amalgamations of bacteria and other things on a normal day. I wouldn't trust enough to take a shower without them, but that's me... 🤷♀️ and a plastic (or generally waterproof) bag to bring anything home that gets gross. Packing a freezer bag/sandwich bag/trash bag is always a good idea, no matter where you're going.
Thanks for this updated video! I'm working on my packing list for my hospital bag! I'm hoping we can fit all of our stuff other than pillows and the boppy in my luggage bag, but we'll see. That hospital sheet/outfit set is SO cute. Since I'm probably going to have to buy more for this baby than anticipated, I think my only unnecessary splurged will be his personalized coming home outfit and personalized blanket, but I LOVE the idea of that and maybe will do it for baby #2.

I totally agree with the makeup thing. For some woman it's kind of a soothing method. For me while I was in labor with my first born, I used it to soothe myself and make myself feel less stressed. If that makes sense.

My second birth went so much smoother than my first. I pushed him out in like 3 pushes which maybe took 5 minutes. My husband also went home to be with our daughter the night after having our son.

I am pregnant with baby number 3. But my second son’s labor and delivery went a lot smoother than my first as well. Wondering if this will be smoother or harder than my first and second.!
Since my due date is Oct 30th, I told my fiancée that he can go home and go trick or treating with our son if we are still in the hospital on Halloween assuming baby #2 comes on time or shortly before who’s due date. Our son came two weeks early. His mom will most likely be at home with him while we are at the hospital. It would be nice if he came early (well before Halloween)!

You too young to think of how many kids you want. Start thinking about goals for your future darling. You have time in the name of Jesus to think that later on life. I'm saying that because it wasn't easy for me pregnant at the age of 18 and give birth 2 months after I turn 19 yrs old. But good thing I had got my diploma for whenever I'm really to go to college but it was hard dear. Now just turn 31 yrs old pregnant with my third baby wasn't expected that to happen because I was almost done for my NCLEX review to go take the government exam.
Just have something ready for you so you won't struggle, because sometimes things can get hard believe me dear. It wasn't easy for me with two kids after I get to the RN program. Love you stay well and be positive.

Yes he is and he's perfect! I couldn't dilate past a 4 so I had a c-section!
I put on makeup with my first. I was going to be induced and took my time putting make up on. Enjoyed every moment and will do it again. :D

I’ve watched this video at least three times since I’ve been pregnant lol. When I was overly anxious in my first trimester. I watched it again in my second trimester and now I’m 35 weeks and trying to pack my bag (finally !) and watching it again lol.

This happened to me lol I got pregnant 4 months PP but I had no idea until I was 5 months pregnant. I was on bc and bled every month like a normal period but technically doesn’t count as a cycle! I’m due in 4 weeks and my son turned 1 last Sunday lol. It’s chaotic and so beautiful at the same time. I can’t believe I’m a mom of 2! Children no matter what though are little pieces of heaven on earth. Good luck with whatever happens 💞💞💞

When I had my daughter, I didn't bring makeup. I only had hair ties, chap stick, and mascara. And honestly, my face was so swollen and my hair was an absolute mess afterwards, I just felt like I looked absolutely horrible and did not want anything to do with picture. I'm so thankful that my sister actually brought her makeup bag and a little travel straightener with her. I needed a little something and she just whipped those out and helped her sister out... I was so out of it at that point but she put my hair up in a cute bun for me and did my makeup and it was one of the things that I remember made me feel so much better. It made my face look more like it normally does...less puffy, less red my hair was in a state where I was okay letting people take pictures. It seems like such a silly thing to worry about but it made me feel great!
I’ve had 3 children every time I’ve worn makeup in the hospital I just think it makes me feel better x

Just a little PSA, I’m a German doctor (no OBGYN), I would never bring soft/plush/fabric slippers, you can’t disenfect them and clinic germs are multiresistente.
Or plan on tossing them later, which seems a little wasteful when they are that nice!

Papiertiger I work as a nurse and was going to mention this as well! I won’t be bringing any slippers that I won’t be throwing out after, pillow/breast feeding pillow etc. I see a lot of people planning to bring those things, but right now I definitely wouldn’t.

I'm due April 26th and just now started packing my hospital bag. This had a couple extra ideas that I hadn't thought of (car seat cover and manual pump).
I'm a FTM, but I would also suggest a bathing suit for those who plan to labor naturally, if they want to get in a birthing tub... I know that makes perfect sense, but it's one of those things that wouldn't immediately come to mind when you're looking at your bag going: "What did I forget? "
Edited to add: SHOWER SHOES. Hospitals are gross amalgamations of bacteria and other things on a normal day. I wouldn't trust enough to take a shower without them, but that's me... 🤷♀️ and a plastic (or generally waterproof) bag to bring anything home that gets gross. Packing a freezer bag/sandwich bag/trash bag is always a good idea, no matter where you're going.

Thanks for this updated video! I'm working on my packing list for my hospital bag! I'm hoping we can fit all of our stuff other than pillows and the boppy in my luggage bag, but we'll see. That hospital sheet/outfit set is SO cute. Since I'm probably going to have to buy more for this baby than anticipated, I think my only unnecessary splurged will be his personalized coming home outfit and personalized blanket, but I LOVE the idea of that and maybe will do it for baby #2.

I totally agree with the makeup thing. For some woman it's kind of a soothing method. For me while I was in labor with my first born, I used it to soothe myself and make myself feel less stressed. If that makes sense.
