I would agree with you with one small change, I think Bill Hader's Barry is perhaps the greatest WRITTEN character in tv history because Hader captured the ultimate "Grayman" (aka the nondescript outfits worn by veterans and killers) as Barry is full of expression yet utterly empty of soul, he is whoever the audience wants him to be at that moment.
