I have had a problem with Lidar tif files for Norfolk being added to my project which was on EPSG 27700 for moths because the tif it was shown off Gabon . The clue came in this video in that the CRS comes from the first layer! used ie Google Earth on WGS84. When I changed all the layers to WGS84 and added the lidar it was located in Norfolk where it should be . One point however is the CRS for the lidar is still EPSG 27700 and if I change it to WGS84 it moves from Norfolk to Gabon!!! Many thanks for solving part of the mystery but it would be nice to knoow how I could get the entire project in EPSG 27700
I've not had the pleasure of working with lidar images yet, but for shape files you can 'export' to a new shape file with your required CRS rather than simply changing the CRS of the layer. Does that make sense?
