Very cool! Loved the high speed camera shots on ignition and the camera tracking was amazing. Don’t let the guys complaining about the music bother you. Everyone is a critic and you can’t please everyone.
Takes a lot of guts to break Mach 1 on a cert flight. It got a little squirrelly as it broke Mach, but that was an excellent "up" and a tremendous video. Cool to see someone take all the time and effort to video document their L3 builds. That is something that will last with you. I am going to use that same motor at LDRS this summer.
Amazing! The music drilled euro-beats into my skull against my will, but the rest was great! I was hoping against hope you had a camera on the rocket body itself though ... :(

How did those cameras track the launch? Were they automated? Was there some kind of tracking target inside the rocket the camera was following? That was awesome!
Thanks! Not motion sensing, instead the launch pad uses a much more "simplistic" method of timing the rotation. The speed of the rotation is timed using the known weight of the rocket and thrust of the motor. The rotation then starts when the rocket starts moving and triggers a switch on the launch pad. When I first saw the pad, I thought the same thing, but it turns out that just rotating the cameras with a "calculated/educated guess" seems to work out just fine.
Great Rocket ,great launch , great launch pad and great video! How did you followed the rocket ? Most of the cameras are not managed by an operator. Do you have a sort of tracking system ? One shot seems to be from a drone. I never succeed in following a launch. World be interesting to know the technique.
So the launch tower and cameras weren't mine. All credit goes to Doug at rocketryphotography.com And the cameras are just timed to rotate (with a switch to detect launch) based on the weight of the rocket and thrust of the motor using an equation that I don't remember. The one that looks like it's from a drone was actually taken from a camera on a pole.
The trick is to stand far enough back from the launch site. Then it's practice, practice, practice. Been filming these launches for decades. Except for sound I use the sound of the rocket. Is that wrong?
oh i saw your gimbal video! super cool! The music is indeed a bit overwhelming, but thats not a huge problem. I'd love to see the footage of it coming down with the parachute though.
When you get the chance to use someone's fancy launch pad with a dozen or so cameras including multiple fancy gimbaled Chronos cameras, you don't just throw that footage away even if it's not completely to scale :-)

Congratulations on your successful Mac busting level 3. Ignore the critics who don't know how to work a volume control and don't appreciate the awesome slow mo and tracking. Next launch N2000 ?
Personally I think that the video would have been better if you had shown us a few more clips of lifting the rocket to the vertical position.
Yes. A few more shots of that would have made the video.
I saw that and I was like "Oh.. this is serious.. grown men are grunting
More cow bell.
Fucking dieing rn. I was thinking the same thing .
It’s actually an ad for Viagra thinly disguised as a cool hi powered rocket video.
The shot at the 3:00 mark totally redeems the 63 shots of those 2 billy badasses tugging on the wires. That was a great flight, congrats on your L3!
By far, this was the best rocket launch video editing, music, camera angles and perspectives.
This is my favorite of all the rocket launch videos out there, great editing of all the angles
Loved everything, thanks for sharing
This was really enjoyable to watch! Awesome stuff!
I also liked the music. How and where do i find music such as this?
Thanks for including a link to the build report.

It bothered me but I just hit the mute button. Don't know why but I just like hearing the natural sound of APCP :)
For me, the Techno Pump added an extra kick to the show. THANKS!
Это божественное чувство когда такая малышка уходит в небо ! .👍👍👍

Personally, I love the music and the hard work you put into all of this is worth it.
Those tracking shots were amazing!
awesome launch !
I have the estes version of this kit.😎👍🇺🇸🏴
Awesome. Great pictures and video. 😊

How many times do we need to see them lifting the rocket??
Or how much of the idiotic music instead of the rocket sound? Jackasses.
@@frisbee544 right!
Good sound track too ☺️ great rocket
goooood job!
I didnt know there was even a level 3 certification
Запуск просто огонь!!! Видео супер!!!! Лайк и подписка:)
Excellent as always!
Nice rocket, nice flight...the music is overwelming though
Appreciate the feedback! I'll keep it in mind for the next video.
I actaully enjoy the music. But then again I am a fan of Trance.
I'd prefer no music but atleast it's not blaring trash
If by overwhelming, you mean it sucks, then yeah.

Sorry, the music took me out of it and couldn't watch it all the way through
Great flight, well done. Where is that beautiful place?

I think it was a 360 camera
It's really a wonderful work. What is the max range of the this section:)?
Great job on the video!!!!!
Holy crap, how many cameras did you set up??
Great camera shots. Did you have motion sensing on them?

Neat video, but I almost turned it off after the 5th snippet of them raising the tower.
That cracked the sky.
😢 keep going , we have a same dream 🎉😢❤

KLASS...!!!!!! 🚀🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
wow thats great footage!!! How did you track the rocket that fast?!
oh i saw your gimbal video! super cool! The music is indeed a bit overwhelming, but thats not a huge problem. I'd love to see the footage of it coming down with the parachute though.
Why the slow motion? The Black Brant was a solid fueled sounding rocket, not a liquid fueled manned space vehicle. It never lifted off slowly.

Nine million different camera angles and not one from a camera mounted on the rocket.
Nice...
i dont want music video for real sound
Cool
Way too much editing -- a 5 min video and you never even showed a real time shot of the full launch!! all short cuts and slow mo - very disappointing!
love the music
great flight...music not needed
I wonder what it sounds like without awful music.

😍🤩
WHERE HAVE THE DAYS GONE WHERE SOMEONE IN THE STANDS OR YOUR MOM HAS A VIDEO CAMARA AND SAYS YAAAAA. PUT A CAMARA ON THE ROCKET FOR CHRIST SAKE!!
No need for the music the launch is exciting enough.
Dont need the music
music NOT needed
Music needed
I like me
If they gave out razzies for worst rocket launch videos this would win hands down.
Yup.
All the effort in building the damned thing but what are they most proud of?
Raising the launch tower.
🤦
music ruined the entire video......

@@AlexHeffer I think the objections to the music is because they would rather hear the power of the rocket and I agree.

I hate that music
