Lyme disease is horrible. I thought I was going to die before I turned 30 until I received a diagnosis. When left untreated, Lyme wreaks some of the most destructive havoc the body can endure.

The first time I heard this song I was starting to deal with chornic illness as well as complications caused by thyroid cancer. This really saved me at a time I felt hopeless. I am hoping my last scan comes back with no further complications and I can say I'm in remission for good.

I've battled lyme disease my entire life and there have been several times where I nearly did "fall asleep", as you put it. God bless you, Avril! Ive never battled that disease but i have asthma and its almost made me fall to sleep. Most recently about a month ago. Its very scary and lonely going through this. That attack i literally leaned on my friends car and begged God to let me live past that attack. I do believe his awsome power is the only reason i did not pass out. I almost did. God is amazing for sure. And this song is vert human and very emotional for me.

Avril has taught me so much. Shes taught me to not care what people think, shes taught me to have fun, shes taught me that its ok to be myself, and shes taught me to be strong. Shes my biggest inspiration, and shes strong fighting lyme disease. I have horrible anxiety and depression, but she inspires me to keep going. I would love to see her live.

My heart sunk as I listened to the lyrics.
My granddaughter is suffering from Lyme Disease as Avril was.
Before my granddaughter lost her voice from Lyme, she sang this all the time. Thankfully she has her voice back and singing again. She still suffers from Lyme and still can’t walk. But we are grateful she’s able to sing Avril’s song again.

❤ 😢 😊 we have to appreciate ever gain when dealing with Lyme. I found low carb helps so much. N full Fat Greek yogurt with tart cherry extract beet powder n blueberries helps. Anti inflammatories vitamins n food n no histamine foods as well. (Canned tuna hurts so bad)

I have Lyme disease as well... I'm 32 and my whole life was swallowed by it pretty harshly. I'm listening to this song and crying like a baby because it is on point for what we have to deal with as younger women with chronic diseases (I'm a type 1 diabetic as well, since I was eight). This song is a reminder that we are either going to drown, sink, or swim... I'm an unjudging metaphysical Christian who believes in freedom of thought and expression. At times, I catch myself starting to drown, only to be lifted by God out because it's in his hands. To all the women, men, kids who have struggled with illnesses, we are together in this. It's not weakness to ask for help... Thank you Avril for this song, it's perfectly and relatably impactful to those who are too young to sleep ❤️🤟
I'm also 32 and have lyme, babesia, bartonella and ebv. It is such a lonely place no matter how many people you have in your life. You become just a shell of who you once where ad the disease slowly takes pieces of you away. I understand 💚 we are warriors.
