Starr Pass Loop Mountain Bike Ride, Tucson AZ

This is a recording of the Starr Pass loop as documented in MTBProject. The Starr Pass trails are surprisingly challenging with lots of chunk, a good amount of tech, and a few punchy climbs. This ride starts at the Richard E. Genser Trailhead and covers Rock Wren, Yetman, Star Pass, and Sarasota trails.
The parking lot has a gate with a lock but I have never seen it locked. The hours are supposed to be 6 or 6:30 am to sundown or 6/6:30 pm. I've been to this trail as early as 5:30 am. A few locals have told me that they've also never seen the gates locked even late into the evening.
The views are amazing. Areas of the trails feel so remote. During the week, you won't see a lot of people once you get 1-2 miles into the ride from the trailhead. These trails are not for pure beginners.
