  • I already started this project before the death of Chuck Berry, what a coincidence. The world lost one of the pioneers of rock and roll music. Rest in peace Chuck Berry (October 18, 1926 - March 18, 2017)
    Movie: American Graffiti (1973)
    Song: Chuck Berry - Johnny B. Goode

      I grew up in the 70's in those areas used for filming the movie. The early part in a high school was Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley. Many of the scenes were on 4th street, San Rafael & they used Petaluma. I lived in Sausalito. I went to Tam high with Kathleen Quinlan who was the lead on the drama team & the school negotiated that she would have to be in the movie for them to use the gymnasium. She had a crush on my older brother, Gary, but he wouldn't go out w/her because she was too short. I used to give him a hard time about that after she got that role that started her career in Hollywood, lol.

      @@danbasta3677 I love both Ford and chevy both American muscle 💪 my Ford conet is a wagon with a 200 6 cylinder and a four speed top loader out of a 428 police intercepter big block my top loader will fit both small and big block ford, alot of small block top loaders only fit the small blocks I got it to mate with the engine with the correct bell housing I picked up from a mustang parts yard in orange CA. I had to do my homework on this subject, also im in the process of buying that aluminum head from vintage inlines thats the manifold that is removable from the head but its around 2500 .00 , the little 6 is also built with all TRW forged pistons rings and high volume millings oil pump, big cam shaft everything good , the block is out of a 1968 mustang and is a 7 main crank not the old 4 main crank , in 68 and after is when the blocks were better to build up the horse power in those straight 6, inlines. A friend of mine had a top loader but wouldn't sell it to me. So when he and I went to purchase my top loader he said oh cool it will fit both small and big bucks so now you and I can trade, I told him naw you wouldn't sell me your top loader when I needed one so now that I have the better one you all of a sudden want to trade naw il keep mine and you keep yours , the expression on his face was classic!!!! Sorry for the rambling but it is a cool little car , thanks again 😀

      @cobracharmer6178 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GlassTopRX7 ; In reality, 1962, Chevy didn't have a 427 and the deuce most likely had a flathead. When Graffiti came out in 1973, the 55 was running a 454.

    • @MrPhotog7
      @MrPhotog7 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cobracharmer6178 you’re correct about the 55. However, the 32 probably would not have had a flathead, as most guys switched over to the OHV engines by the mid fifties. The Chrysler Hemi came out in 1951, the Ford Y Block came out in 1954, and the Chevy 283 came out in 1955. And, there were also other OHV engine options such as Oldsmobile, Cadillac, etc. So, anyone who had an early Ford in the early sixties who wanted to go really fast, or to race, had already replaced their flatheads with an OHV engine long before 1962.

    Kids today think F&F is the dogs, they have never seen this and they should, this is ALL about being young having fun in cars with yer buddies, something that seems to have been lost somewhere along the years, we had a bit of this here in U.K, in the 70's and 80's and today car show are all about Americana, unlike in the 70 and 80's when we had home grown custom's and hot rods.
