- Extracts from an interview between Johnny and the producer of Arizona Dream (contains swearing). It's a bit odd because she's talking in French and he's talking in English. These are the best Johnny bits from a 30 minute interview. (Most of the rest is them talking about the director and watching scenes from the film). Anyway, hope you enjoy it.
He's speaking with this accent because french better undersdand english like that, i'm french and that's what i'v felt. He is a smart and comprehensive man. Love the respect he got ^_^
I've wondered why he started speaking like that. Just commented on his accent. I'll delete it now.
Don't you all get that the accent comes from the fact that he wants her to understand him? So he talks simplier with an accent she can get... Because he is kind and nice and he is Johnny Depp. Christ's sake, it's simple as that...
I don't care what accent Johnny, uses. I love the sound of his voice so gentle low-keyed. I can listen to him for hours with no end .
he's just a bundle of love..
"I asked her if I could kiss her and she said I guess so".. Who would have say no?! I wouldn't...
Johnny Depp is absolutely amazing!! A true blessing!!
this makes me so calm and peaceful thank you
+YuukoDream Serenade Oxydepp a new drug ??
Johnny such a gentleman, then, now, and always! LOVE (M)
Of course Johnny does understand french. He's often been to Paris where he met Vanessa and she is french and he is learning a bit because of Vanessa and living in France most of the time.
im so impressed of what he thinks of making a film. who cares about the number? you have to enjoy making it first before it will be enjoy by other people, or not be enjoyed
So wonderful, so beautiful, so cute, so sweet, so talented, so sexy, loving, caring, intelligent, educated, awesome...perfect.... I LOVE YOU, JOHNNY!!!!!!
Aww. "I'll always be there for you." How sweet! :)
Cutest interview in the world! ^_^
Btw for everyone not really picking up on the accent... he does it when he's imitating Emir Kusturica. It's Depp's version of a "Serbian" accent which is quite amusing.
It makes me laugh how pathetic you haters are. I mean it's obvious you're jealous of him, I mean the guy doesn't even try and all the girls love him, it's a shame how you can hate someone as generous and sweet like johnny.. other than the fact that he's an AMAZING actor that isn't full of himself like other actors.
Wow, what an awesome interview - never have seen it before...! I'm excited about it...
Johnny looks notably brilliant. Oh, and his voice and his manner of speaking... simply sexy!!!! Always like to listen to him....
He is a very nice and amazing person
Awwww I love him so very much.
lol even though he is speaking in english he has a french accent in this interview omggg soo hot lol, i love johhny hehe
I lived in France for a while and you can't help but do that with the accent.
If you speak in your own English accent, it's hard for the French to follow you unless they're used to being around that knd of accent. As a result, you make your words sound a bit more French-English for them to understand.
I used to do the accent at my work place so the others could understand me better it just happens without really noticing
Johnny depp is the best, he always does a great job, i love him, he is so versátil, he can do any character, jd is a great actor, father and human being, justice for my beautiful ángel jd, we want him back, keep fighting jd, we are with you, not matter what
Johnny must have done this interview while he was filming something in which he had a European accent (I'm going to guess "The Man Who Cried", which fits year-wise, hair-wise and facial-hair-wise), because the accent is carrying over! I love that that happens for him; it's adorable, and so human.
its a french interview i come to france and johnny is understand in french its amazing
His accent half french-half english is sexy. Claude Ossard is friend of him and Vanessa. She produced "Arizona Dream" with Johnny and "Mon Ange" with Vanessa.
his eyes...
love this interview, very odd but funny and interesting. I wish it lasted more! thx
Love you Johnny 💕💕
Yeah! It's probably from the fact he is speaking with a French lady. People change the accents when speaking to different people so I guess he didn't even notice lol! This is quite kool thanks for posting :) Luv johnny XD
WOW !!!! God blessed him with so many different accents to speak with so naturally. It's not acting. He's use to this....he's spent much time in France. Is been his home at times. His kids were born there. He can and does speak French. He's not French but he's so good at it's. That's not the only accent that he can turn on like that. That sound in that voice is pure talent like music to the ears. So beautiful. Also mother of his kids is full French. Captain Jack Sparrow's accent is a touch of a English accent very naturally done. His accent tones change with his moods. I've never seen anything or heard of anyone like this before. To think he was originally from Owensboro ,Kentucky.
the accent is so cute. when you're with someone, you sometimes immitate them in their voice or body language subconciously as a sign that you're on the same level, like you want to get on kind of thing? if that makes sense? really cute though.
Accents come thru when ur bilingual which Johnny is....
Also he’s very very cultured with France ... London etc plus the dif accents he’s become accustomed to with his characters ....it’s very natural.
I LOVE HIS ACCENT
Johnny you make my heart race
Johnny's Ex, Vanessa Paradis (mother of hi children) is French. They lived for a while in France.
that was fantastic. that made my day. i'm so happy. im finally got to watch the whole thing. i love arizona dream and i want that 4 hour version of arizona dream!!! aaaa!!! lili & johnny!!! its just so amazing. =D
I like Johnny too...I want Johnny too...
@falloutgirl902
I agree.
I tally forget he's American when I see his movies. I love his choice of words, too.
yeah.. he keeps a low voice.. well.. it's just that he's calm.. chill.. but yeah.. he's pretty hilarious. =)
Interview Perfect!
johnny je t'aime!!! ti voglio tantissimo beneeeeeee.....
"i would like to seduce her by becoming a chicken or a rooster"
lmao
i didn't kno that was why he was acting like a chicken, comparing it to the character lol, classic j. depp
and i have got to say this was one of the weirdest JD films...EVER, lol but awesome notheless; and i love his slight accent in this interview...grrrrowl johnny lol
He's so brilliant and charming. ❤
Very beautiful...Johnny Depp is always creative....thanks for the memories
His voice is so sweet.
Ha ha. He always puts on the accent of the country that he's in. I guess its habit really.
@peeinthesinkful finally someone who understands Johnny
damn my internet i would be able to watch the whole thing if my internet wasn't so slow. but i got through 2 minutes of it without my computer crashing and it has made my day!!! =D
I am unconditionally in love with the film arizona dream.
jajaja I lOve
the accent!
I think he's always
catching the
different accents
I lOve that hahaha
great vid
Ooh, nice accent.
Awesome vid :)) Thanks for this. There not many french interviews with Johnny. Love his voice !!! and his answers are very profound and inspired, he really thinks twice before speaking out every single word to express his opinions the right way.
i think he was livin in france 2 long he was gettin a lil french accent which is still hot. i love him he's gorgeous, funny w/out even tryin 2 hard love his hair his skin his bone structure rite down 2 da sometimes wierd attires
Je suis toujours là .. Oh My god 💘
I didn't know he could speak french O.O??
Lol his voice deepened since then but w.e hes still awesome
Johnny Depp is my favorite actor
lol.. yeah.
you can definitely see the and hear the difference from this interview to other american interviews... he's more comfortable here.
MERVEILLEUX!
I love this interview and johnny he's adorablee and I love the movie so much it's like my favouritee
its rly wierd how like in the middle of an interveiw he'll just start rolling a ciggi lol.
hotttt!!!!!!!!!!!
that is a super cool idea, i didnt know johnny thought of that himself:)
I know? did he always have one ?? he is so adorable though
Not even. Johnny's lived in France for a long time and has played a lot of British characters. and i'm from London and i've grown up thinking he was British loool it's only when i was older i found out he was american because even jack sparrow has a British accent. Anyway i do think he's changing his accent a lil so she understands but i also think his natural accent is a bit mixed because of those reasons. when u hear him talk in normal interviews he's also pronouncing some words funny.
he has Foreign Accent Syndrome so he can't help speaking in different accents
@@cassiecampbell2017 that’s what I just said 8 years ago
Hmm Arizona..my brother was there at ASU completing his Masters in Urban planning..one heck of a guy..Gerald Pde..4 yrs my junior..just completely a 100 kms run..and he loves JD's movies..more his kids...
he talks just like Jim Morrison
He talks about great serbian regiseur Emir Kusturica!!!
It would be fine to be both invisible. Don' know, brave tourist!
they (Emir Kusturica, Jerry Lewis and Johnny Depp) had production meetings in Vlade Divac's apartment.
cool.
damn this video has been uploaded 15 years ago
Jerry Lewis's films had a gigantic cult following in the 50's & 60's,when all things non-French were very looked down upon.I don't know if they were dubbed in French or not.For me it doesn't matter, I HEAR all languages equally well.
edward scissorhands scary? wow i thot it was cute. and dracula is my awesome version of twilight
I think I have been many of my life time like a Himikomory
yeah, I figured he meant a chick becoming a grown rooster, he just confused chicken with chick.
and did u understand the movie at a second sight? :P
cuz I don't think I'll ever get it.
no it's a roll up cigarette lol
@nils4545
Wrong!
He's saying "coq" which means rooster in french
the arrowtooth waltz
because you know him perfectly, like he's your damn brother or something, huh?
hmm, I wouldn't say his accent changes because the lady is french, but because when you're translating in your head sometimes your English suffers for it.
@Harmonies4Me i think it was for his next movie
maybe she doesnt speak english too well so hes putting on a little bit of a french accent when he speaks english?
Anyone else notice that's he speakin with a slight french hint in his voice? lol it must be from livin in france n added to the fact he's talkin to a french woman lol ...random little comment for ya'll there
so this interview was in 2002 not in the release time of the movie?
Dear John Dee is money the only value you have and know of in your life?
@54spiritedwill54 Im not sure about his accent in this interview. I suppose that he was filming another movie during that time. It reminds me of Don Juan de Marco
what chicken thing??
Johnny is just so funny, but hes voice is on the same low level all the time, so you don't really discover it xD
I think the interviewer was a little boring, but it was fine :)
She's not a journalist, that's why. Shes the film producer.
sweetsweet hahah Thank you! It’s been 11 years since I wrote that comment, But it’s never too late to learn haha
@@AlfSpungie you know how the quarantine got us (well, me, at least.. 😁) bored and checking on comments as if it was posted yesterday!
wow he kinda frenchified his voice. how long was he over there?
Quelqu'un pourrait-il partager le film sur TH-cam ?
this woman scares me
Wow👀👀
How does he know french so well...
He was with Vanessa Paradis the mother of his children for 14 years (not yet 14 in this old interview), she is a French singer / actress / model and he lived in France too.
Maybe he was practicing for a role
whats with accent?
his he trying to do a french accent
or is it because he is in character for don juan de marco
how can he understand french???
what is it he's smoking ??
What's with the accent>???
go over and live in a foreign country, learn some language, come back to u.s. and you'll find your speech syntax emulates the cadence of the country youve just come back from while speaking in your native tounge.
What nonsense i share? It's true what i have said. If you are not in topic in discusion don't say a word!!!!!!!!!!!! And you don't talk a nonsenses!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jerry Lewis, by saying knowing any real Inuit language didn't matter because he could make it up, totally disrespects- in a hilarious but somehow decent way- an entire epoch of people.
