    This is so pretty! I absolutely love the soothing springy colors. Just beautiful. I can probably reproduce it using #4 yarn and a 4 or 5 hook depending on the yarn. I know it won’t be flown like yours, but it will have the general. Vibe!, oh I started writing this because I don’t think I got a notification for this. I usually look if I don’t see my regular channels latest posts. Good thing I saw todays!,

      I'm so glad you found this one. It's one of my personal favorites now. The flowiness is a big part of what I love about this design. If you don't mind yours not being flowy then just go for it with your #4 yarn. Enjoy!

      Yes, the Pumpkin Spice poncho uses the same DC V stitch but in a #4 yarn so the pattern counts are totally different. And no fringe on this one. And this one uses multiple colors...so, different pattern altogether. LOL!

    • @CrazyCoolCrochet
      @CrazyCoolCrochet  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Because this is made with two rectangles the neckline becomes a point or V neck. If you must have a round neckline you might try doing a couple of rows of SC after the panels are seamed. Adjust the SC's at the pointy sections to create roundness. You might need to skip a stitch or two at that point to create the roundness. Hope this helps.

      @Crazy Cool Crochet may I ask you the measurements of each panel? I have searched your pattern but can't locate it. My first panel seems much shorter than yours. I am using the same size yarn and needle. I went up one size.

    • @CrazyCoolCrochet
      @CrazyCoolCrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Mari-B Each panel is 25 inches long and 18 inches wide. On the table they look tiny. The yarn I used is very stretchy. Once it's on the body it stretches and hangs longer than on the table. This poncho is designed to be on the shorter side. That said, I am quite short so it still looks longer on me.

    Beautiful. You crochet holding your hook and thread just like me. I am a very loose crocheted. Do you have any suggestions for tightening up my tension. I wonder if a yarn ring would help. You are a nice designer. Reminds me of the Mondrian mini dresses of my youth.

    370yds of each color, total of 1850yds.

      @CrazyCoolCrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Whew! Tricky question. I used about 150 yards of ea color. If you are doubling yours it should be enough for size Sm and Medium. You'll need to make fewer rows of ea color to get the ombre effect. It sounds beautiful already.

      I see you did 9 rows of each color, I will try 5. I know an odd number always looks better than an even. I hope your Sunday finishes your weekend beautifully.🥰

  • @kimbrown9412

    If I want to use a med 4 but it’s a light feeling yarn would I need to adjust the stitches? How would I do that? Or would it work up just fine following g pattern for my size?

    • @CrazyCoolCrochet
      @CrazyCoolCrochet  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The yarn I used was a very thin #2. Using a thin #4 will result in a larger end product. The poncho as designed, runs on the smaller side. If you don't mind a slightly larger fit then stay with your normal size. If you want to keep it on the small side, then go with the next smaller size than your normal size. Hope this helps.

    What would be the chain count to make this as a kid size 12?

    • @CrazyCoolCrochet
      @CrazyCoolCrochet  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching. As I did not design this in a child size I do not have a specific chain count for size 12. This poncho is already shorter than most so it might fit as is. Otherwise, you can follow these basic instructions for sizing (in reverse to make smaller): For more custom sizes increase the beginning chain in multiples of 5 for length. Add V-Stitch rows as needed for width. This is found on the written pattern here: crazycoolcrochet.com/crochet-lightweight-summer-poncho/

    • @kathywilton6738
