Thanks for this, but you ought to have something else supporting the car than just a trolley jack - they can give way quite easily. I always put the wheel I have taken off and a block of wood under the side of the car, just in case. There are plenty of stories where trolley jacks have collapsed trapping an arm or hand or worse. Not worth the risk!
Yes I grease them regularly. I remember my Dad telling me years ago when he was out in the firms Morris van and the front collapsed because they were never greased.

It greases a lot better when you take off the tension of the trunions by jacking them slightly. That said please put you car onto real stands this is very tricky.

Use a safety jack stand in future.

You could always turn the car around the other way to avoid being on the traffic side, guessing this is a daily driver! Thanks for sharing!
Yes this is my Daily driver and can only park it on the road.
