If you only knew the feeling of hearing 65,000 scream "I Am an American" from the field it would blow you away. I was lucky enough to be on the field for three night games while in school and the most electric atmosphere I felt was the 07 Ohio State game. The feeling marching in that night was absolutely incredible. We need a few winning seasons to really boost attendance back up and you will hear and see this every week. Anyone who remembers the Brees years will say the same.
That brings back so many memories. Taking the field as a freshman in 1997, a game against Norte Dame, was a moment I will never forget. And to hear the crowd, 68,789 strong, from the field, shout “I am an American”. One of the proudest moments of my life, and the day I learned what school spirit really meant. I should see my fuzzy VHS tapes are still good enough to digitize. TUBAS DO IT LOUDER!
Hats off to the outstanding band. The AAMB's performance alone is well worth the price of a football ticket. Congratulations to all of the musicians who performed in this season's excellent shows.
This is the best of showing what the Purdue All-American Band pregame is all about. The pageantry and all the PAAMB gets the crowd in the mood for supporting the Boilers and being an American.
Got to love the pomp & cirumstance & pageantry of college football...said in my Keith Jackson voice. Oh Nellie! (Which, as Keith Jackson pointed out, he never actually said. It was that imitator that made that phrase famous. )
Is their band all brass? or are there woodwinds as well? I play piccolo in marching band and was thinking of going to Purdue and I wanted to be in the band, but if its all brass...

Tyler is in heaven.
Great great show for the home team and fans!!! Hail Purdue and Boiler Up!

I would love to see this from above the field!
Somewhere Tyler is smiling :)
The guys with the big drum sure get a workout!
Fill the stands and it is even better! I was part of the 07 OSU game and it was absolutely electric, probably the best game I was part of at home.
The Purdue AAMB does include woodwinds. The piccolo section has around 20 members.
And the only reason I really want to go to a game.
Excellent, thanks!!! I guess I just didn't notice any of the woodwinds from the angle of the video and the size of the band...
R.I.P TYLER #tylerstrong
2:27 is the Locomotive!

Boiler up
Hopefully, a new coach will bring back the excitement of Purdue Football.
Ha, thanks (:
What's that clack clack clack sound? Is someone near the mike keeping time? Annoying!
Its people clapping
