Did this ever make it to production? What are the challenges with getting this off the ground?

There are a few things that do not add up. 24V for the stepper motors? Smack um right in the knee caps! 2 HP spindle, the name plate on the spindle does say 1.5KW, but the data sheet says the VFD is 120V. I have never seen a 120V VFD that was over .75KW So are you all knee capping the spindle motor as well? Why are there no images of the inside of the stepper drive controller?????

I uploaded 2 videos of a machine I built using a 110v 1.5kw spindle cutting at 6000 RPM. Plenty of low end torque to cut brass. I have a 110v 2.2kw spindle to upgrade on the way.

Yo can make your own at the price of around 1200 dollars in less than a week.
Also you can replace the worst drivers on the market (tb6600), the weak 24V power supply and replace the 1.5kW spindle with 2.2kW one without additional cost.
It will cost you the same efforts as building a kit.

My only question is why a Er11 and not a Er16?
Would had made so much more sence
Specifically when all the lovely insert tools that you can start to get and use at Er16 ( yes you can get insert tools that will fit into Er16. Specifically if you find/buy a Er16 callet set with a 12mm callet)

The spindles are only available in ER11, ER20, and I believe ER25.

No I wish or I’d buy one right now 😭

the spindle probably wont have full torque at every rpm. HF Spindles like these (without a gear) have low torque at low rpm

Its construction is not sturdy enough and yet the frame has no precision in them, amongst so many fault in the machine. There's already so many mills on the market.

Do you know of any that are similar to this or better?

  • @ray-charc3131

Many Chinese ones are similar or even better than it。the price must be cheaper。so it has no market。
