I’d love to get one but iv spent way way way to much recently on makita tools so I’ll just have to dream, iv got the Japanese flagship xgt impact so it’s not like I need another impact driver!!, anyway keep up the good work sir 🤟🤟

    I have 12v td111 and it is perfect for my jobs. Doing roof jobs with rope access and screwing less than 200 screws per day. So 12v 2ah battery is enough for that kind of job. Shame Makita forgot about 12v and no news there. This 18v battery is huge.

    • @garnerreviews
      @garnerreviews ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah the 12v line doesn't seem to get much love, which is a shame. Makita's sub-compact line on their 18V battery seems to be a sort of replacement or filler for that market. I really wish they would continue to look into more compact tools with better motor and battery tech always on the move. 👍🏻 Thanks for watching and commenting.

    • @MarekKubi
      @MarekKubi ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@garnerreviews Even on a 18v they are missing 3ah compact battery. It is just put 6ah cells in a 2ah battery case. Not a big development. Dewalt is doing a good job in terms of compact battery and 18v.

    • @garnerreviews
      @garnerreviews ปีที่แล้ว

      Dewalt does seem to be putting a tremendous focus on their more compact lineups which is really cool. Honestly I wish Makita would move their 18V lineup towards pouch cells like Dewalt and Flex's stacked lithium. I think that would breathe new life into their tools and could create the opportunity for some powerful but compact batteries. 👍🏻

      @@garnerreviews absolutely!
      I have the NPR32 press tool kit, TE-60 rotary hammer drill, and the SID 6-22 /SF6H hammer drill and I’m loving them. Only thing I don’t like is they didn’t make a 5ah battery, (at least from what I hear in the states) so they have a 4ah single row which tends to drain quicker under heavy drilling loads. They should have kept the 5.2 or made a 6(double row/parallel) or at best made the 4ah double row. They went single for being compact, which I could care less. Hilti is not known for being compact let’s be honest 😀
      The adjustments for the lights are cool, not sure I’d need to adjust but nice to have that option!

It also has a feature when you set the direction thing to neutral, when you press the trigger, you can use it as a lamp that stays on for 1hr. Beautiful tool but two things that bugs me is that shiny plastic part in the front. It will scratch easy and the metal part around the ring light looks thin and probably will bend easy.
