Twilight was not the first book I ever read I don't think, but it was the first I read for fun. I was 12 when I first read it in 2008 before the movie came out. I've come back to it so many times. Twilight is home for me.
Yayyy, thanks for sharing this with us! I'm so glad that things are going well for Stephenie with the release of Midnight Sun, and that Emily & Maren put together such great questions to ask! My nostalgia feels have been strong since reading Midnight Sun, and I immediately dove back into the books and re-read the rest of the Saga. I did the math, and I was 15 when I first read Twilight & I'm now 29 re-reading the series. How crazy is that?! I'm looking forward to future books, it sounds like she's back in a writing mood :D
I love how clearly excited you guys were to be doing this podcast, made me smile lol. Also, SO cool to be interviewing someone who has played such an important role in your lives and created something so special! I haven't read Midnight Sun yet, but it's next up on my list.
I've been wondering about the graphic novels! I hope they continue them! And I REALLY can't wait for more books. I would love for her to continue the Saga from Edward's point of view, but I understand her not wanting to rewrite New Moon. It's such a heavy story.
If you get to talk to Stephenie I'd love to read Twilight and Midnight Sun together, as one novel. I'm wondering in what order would she organize the chapters to combine them cohesively.
I finally got a chance to watch the interview (my house was still an asylum yesterday) and it was AWESOME. Thank you for sharing and congrats on the interview!
I enjoyed this podcast so much!!! Wow you both seem so down to earth and love what you are doing! I just got back into reading twilight! I’m on eclipse and I never knew how much I missed it!!! I could talk about it all day long lol
Wow you guys.. I'm so happy for you. Thank you so much. These questions is everything I wanted to hear. Especially the question about the graphic novels. They definitely need to finish them. :)
Absolutely loved it. In midnight sun the most surprising part for me was when Edward thinks of Renne as somewhat of narcissistic. I was curious to know from Stephanie what narcissistic traits Renne has in her personality though I added 2 + 2 from books. Thanks you so much for covering that part a bit. I was wondering if you guys know what is the best platform to ask Stephanie questions like this. Do share if you see this. Stephanie in case you happen to see this please know I adore you and a big thank you for Twilight series ❤️❤️❤️
I really enjoyed Midnight Sun. I so wish Stephanie Meyer would write the entire sage from Edward's perspective. It brings another layer to the entire story. I have heard she doesn't want to go back there again, but I am hoping she will change her mind one day.
I wish she could have commented on the scene after the "blood day" in biology, when Edward drives her home. In Twilight, he sounds kind of rude and "kidnap-y." But in Midnight Sun, she actually changed his dialogue a little bit to make him sound more polite about getting her into his car. He also reflected afterwards, "Oops, I was just trying to be a modern man, idk if I'm doing this right." I wondered if that was a little fourth-wall breaking, like maybe Stephanie acknowledging that it was not done "correctly" in Twilight?
I think there’s a difference between Mrs. Cope being attracted to someone too young and having an intent to act on that attraction. One can’t help one’s attractions, one can help one’s actions. I think Mrs. Cope is quite aware of that as she’s always telling herself, “he’s too young, he’s too young.” Those aren’t the mental processes of someone who’s inappropriately acting towards someone else. And then there’s the fact that she may have been picking up on his age and maturity being greater than he appeared. Anyway. That’s just some thoughts in defense of Mrs. Cope. I actually really liked her as a minor character. I felt Renee was very selfish in the books. It’s hard to see a mother who doesn’t put their daughter first and just hares off on her own direction thoughtlessly. I also agree with Anne of Green Gables as a coming home book. I also felt like Little Women, Secret Garden, the Little Princess, Pride and Prejudice brought me home. I reread Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and the Princess Bride (the book) about every 5 years. Little House on the Prairie, but especially Little House in the Big Woods. Emily Dickinson’ poems and John Donne. Many of the books by Louie L’amour. I was an only child for many years, and I read voraciously. These books were like my family. When I read them, I’m sometimes drawn back to the first time I read them, or a very specific time that I reread them. They are family and milestones to my personal history.
This is so wholesome! I'm so happy for you guys! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I may be getting the chance to sit and interview one of MY hero's as well very soon, don't want to say who yet incase i jinx it but, here's hoping I get the chance to do what you guys did
Wow this was so incredible! I wish she would do more interviews with fan sites since fans know the books better and have really good questions! This was amazing! I had the same reaction y’all were having to everything she said. I recently finished reading all the series after midnight sun as well as the official guide and now I’m just left with all the possibilities of our favorite characters. Interesting how y’all brought up the soul mate thing for vamps and how she references Joham (I know what she was talking about so it’ll be interesting to see how she explores that later). Thank you again for this gem! I hope she’ll post excerpts from forever dawn someday (really excited for Bella’s POV of things vs Jacob’s). Thanks again! *oh real quick. Would you be able to ask her or know how we can send a fan letter to her. I’d just like to thank her for so much but I didn’t know about any of the contests going on and stuff. I don’t expect a reply or anything, just want to send her a thank you letter though by sending a letter to her company or agency so they can give it to her? Please let me know if there’s any way to do that (:
Guyssss!!! First of all, LOVE YOU BOTH and STEPHENIE ...PS: Why didn't you ask her about does edward changing bella gives him some kind of authority over her like Carlisle has or does it just doesn't matter if who their sire is??? Please please please ask her if you talk to STEPHENIE Meyer again 😍😍
I would die to see a book about if Bella was the vampire and Edward wasn’t and one if Bella choose Jacob. Or a book about each Cullen backstory like jasper! Dam I would write so many books if I was her
She would get a-lot of book sales if she made the next part to twilight from Bella’s perspective but she said she will never do that again. Or from Resnemes perspective.
I feel like Stephenie hasn’t aged a day! She’s so beautiful!
Also, you both look like teenagers I cannot believe it
She’s the real vampire lol
THANK YOU for asking about the Graphic Novels Riley 😭😭😭
How did this small channel get to fully interview a huge author like Stephanie Meyer! 🤯
Twilight was not the first book I ever read I don't think, but it was the first I read for fun. I was 12 when I first read it in 2008 before the movie came out. I've come back to it so many times. Twilight is home for me.
Thanks for finishing Midnight Sun! Love your writing. It's amazing to see how different points of perspective make a difference in the story.
These interviews are so much better done by fans of the books. Great job, very interesting!
I NEED THE GRAPHIC NOVELS TO BE FINISHED AND THEN SOLD AS A SET, PLEASE?!
This was wonderful

Stephanie, all, there are soooo many pirated copies of the Audio Book on youtube. Is there a way to get them reported?
Edward should have been the main character of the series.
