Dani has a double degree in literature, the man is a poet. One of the things that always set COF apart for me. I’d love to see this too. I was just trying to figure out if they were albums or books behind him when I saw your comment 😂

I get goosebumps from reading the lyrics of "Babalon A.d." , "Born in a burial gown" or "all hope is in eclipse". I'm not sure if Dani wrote all of those, but whoever did it was showing off his English and poetic skills. Goddamn.
Great interview. First got into Cradle after a guy I met on holiday was raving about Dusk. Bought it and was blown away. Saw them 97 for the first time and every tour since. Met Dani many times and he's the eloquent gentleman you'd expect. Keep up the channel, respect \o/

Nymphetamine was the first metal album I ever bought! My mom heard me listening to it when I was around 13 and she "confiscated" it and I NEVER saw it again😂 nonetheless I get really nostalgic when I listen to COF and Dani is just such a great dude, I'm glad I came across this interview!
Whether you like COF or not, Dani is undoubtably a lovely guy. I seen him at a small festival a few times a couple of years ago but was afraid to approach - I wish I knew then how nice he was! Maybe next time...

Cradle of filth. The first band to envelope my mind and pull me into the world of black metal. So much so, that I immediately changed my entire guitar style and music model to fit into that world. I will never forget how 20 + years ago, CoF changed my life, opened my eyes, and my mind for the better. Thank you Dani. (Even spelled my name like him in jr high) Lame…I know!

Always loved the fact that Dani is assumed to be a bellend yet every time I see him he just comes across as being really cool. I love COF though so I’m clearly biased!
Been into Cradle of Filth since 1994, I haven't been a fan of every album which is only a few, but I have really liked their recent output and they are still legendary. I saw them live for the first time in late 2017, and that was an amazing experience!
I still remember going into the local record shop when From the Cradle to Enslave EP was released, I was 16 and he played the cd and it blew me away, bought it there and then and it kick started me buying more and more, even getting the EP when it was reissued on vinyl
I was in a band that toured with COF in Aus in 2009, Dani was so hungover after a boozy night that he walked off stage after half their set, never to return :p But we were doing shows every second night, being my first proper tour as a vocalist, that saved my vocals big time
I was a death metal vocalist and still do it here and there as a hobby. The story from Dani about going on stage with a massive hangover, yeah, done that. It really does suck and you really do just turn off somehow. After that it's all about passing out.
I'm not metal fan and never have been. It's amazing to me as a hardcore kid how much hardcore influenced British metal though. Dani, although I don't listen to CoF always credits UK hardcore bands and seems like a really cool guy.

I not big fan of death metal, but a friend of mine got me interested in COF, my friend Anthony Polsino died in November 19th 2022 in a house fire we were in, he was a big fan of COF ,as several other death metal bands. Anthony and I seen COF at a club in Worcester MA for the Godspeed on the Devils thunder tour ,it had to be one of the best concerts I ever seen, I am pissed that my friend is not here to see the new ablum COF just released. Aye Dani I still would like to see you become a Mayor of the city you live in
I just found this but Dani's Vocal range hate on CoF for this that and sardonic wrath, I mean before this Artist and Since I've never heard anyone hit that extreme high pitch screams as it has cracked my voice a few times on it! But thank you to Dani For never lettering twhineypigs get ya down as Those darkest tend to be the happiest, funniest, liveliest ones!!! I love how is as if the aesthetic and offensive up or down is a filter to keep the judgemental ones out! Thank you Dani for guiding me through Christian School high school on and on! My first touch also to the band was that EP 🤟
CoF was my gateway drug into blackmetal. Though their later stuff is subjective their early work for me was the foundation of the blackmetal i love.
