Admittedly I was very leery of this interview - because of my 'first' impression of Teal being the (very negative, I thought) documentary. Michael - you conducted this with grace and through that I was able to see Teal from a different lens. The topic of generational trauma and healing is very intriguing. Anyone who can significantly help another being heal should be appreciated. I may not resonate at all with her style, but I honor that she can provide help for others.

You can go on her YT channel and find the videos where she shows the "receipts"/hard evidence of how that documentary heavily edited their footage to show a narrative they wanted to portray about her. It's actually disgusting and disturbing to me how people can do that to someone, as they pretended to be nice and close to her and her team to film her and then went behind her back. Teal shows the actual raw footage that's gives such important context that shows how edited that documentary is.

That's not fair for Teal. Please do not believe the stupid documentary that tried to defame Teal. She has helped me so very much.

It's not just the documentary. The documentary only shows what we who have researched her for years have seen for years. After the documentary her childhood and teenage friend Diana Ribera came out, and she has a really bad story about what Teal did to her life. When she saw Teal is still doing the same thing to her followers as she did to her, she felt a responsibility to alert people. Prior to the docu, I had listened to The Gateway, which is a podcast about Teal and her center in Costa Rica, and before that I had listened to the interviews of Cameron Clark and Jared Dobson, who both describe her malignant manipulation which they experienced close hand. Prior to that there were a lot of people writing blog post describing the very same manipulative behavior as in the docu, for instance Sarbdeep Swan, her ex husband, wrote a whole blog on her, which he later deleted. He called the blog The Black Swan, so he had really bad experiences with her too. He never got his family name back, she just continues to use it because it suits her image. Teal Scott and Teal Bosworth doesn't have the same schwung, does it?
This woman talks a good game, but she's not a good person.

@@coldwhitespring5004What makes someone a good person? Could it be possible that some of these people have had their lives "messed up" because of the fact that her teachings are very powerful and eye opening in ways that are hard to come back from completely unchanged. The world is all in all pretty damn dysfunctional and a person not being able to go back and fit in perfectly with that is not necessarily an indication that there is something wrong with them. My life is defitely not all roses and rainbows on this healing journey and I actually see it as a more or less necessary part of this giant shift that humanity is going through. Maybe our lives are going to be a bit messy right now due to going through so much change, for humanity to be able to actually survive. Maybe that is worth some short term turbulence?

    • @coldwhitespring5004

@@Swedensureiscold It's 100% meaningless to discuss this when you haven't seen the interviews, it makes no sense what you are saying. It's like you are reviewing a book you did not read.

OH MY GAWD!!!! Michael, this was one of the most beautiful interviews you’ve done! I absolutely adore Teal, she is an amazing, brilliant, inspiring soul, and I could listen to her riff on ancestral stuff for hours!
I am so glad you two had a chance to connect on your show. I actually watched her for the first time on another show a few months ago, and I actually commented that I wished you would interview her because I felt like there was such a dominant male presence in the interviewer and he didn’t actually allow her space to be the brilliant soul that she is. He kept cutting her off, using humor and basically dominating the conversation, where you connected with her on a beautiful level that brought so much space and openness and attention to her message that you just stepped out of the way as you always do. You allowed her brilliant curiosity, enthusiasm and vulnerability to shine through.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for being the bright and shiny light that you are that brings out the absolute best, most vulnerable, most illuminating sides of people.
You are a blessing to us all!

Teal is so wise and understanding, I can listen to her for hours, not to mention how beautiful she is, both her outward appearance, and her soul. I resonate so much with her, and can relate to all she says, and because of this I feel so much happiness, peace, and contentment emanating from within. I have rescued my inner child, accepted my trauma, forgiven my ancestors, and finally, as hard as it was, forgiven myself. A lot of self reflection and the will to change, has made it possible.

I've experienced psychologists and psychiatrists for years. The worst experiences during this time was a man who lead me through the worst traumas of my life. It was devastating and served no good progress. I went to rehab in my 50s part of the treatment writing down all my major traumas. When I shared it with the group the only dry eyes were the counselors and they looked at me with love and empathy. This experience made me free from all the energy that was caught up in the grief just left. This was a critical turning point in my recovery

Teal's expertise and particular focus naturally lead her to murky waters when it comes to other people's perception of her attempts to aid in healing. She is only human, and particularly brave for walking the path of ancestral healing for HERSELF. And to extend that opportunity to others is a path filled with people lashing out at her. Not everyone is ready to look at their own wounds - even if they say they want to. And, then there's thise who can step outside that victim paradigm and really start to heal. She's awesome ✨

Absolutely magnificent and right on time, I have healed my childhood trauma but just found out this week that my daughter has experienced the same traumas and so has my mother. My mom is no longer with us but because of her not being able to see her way out of the pain, I dove directly into my pain and gave my inner child a voice and I also not only forgave but sent love to the person who had caused my pain so that they may have a place for healing. Hurt people hurt people. My daughter has cut me out of her life because I wasn’t able to properly protect her because I was struggling with my own traumas when she was younger. I know exactly how she feels and practically did the same things to one of my parents. It was in my healing process that I learned the word dissociation, thank you very very much Teal, because the little girl in me still loved my dad even though I had done everything to not love him. I forgave him. A huge part of me became whole. I did the inner work and healed. I am so proud of her for finally telling her painful truth and only want her to feel loved. If she would let me I could help her through this but she blames me for not seeing the pain in her even though she never told me until last week. I will be patient but I will also try to send her tools to help heal. This is exactly what I needed and it is also what she needs. Together maybe we can heal this generational curse and give the next generation a softer and safer life. In all ways love,
    Always love Bridget

Very interesting. And revealing. I can go back several generations on my mom’s side…that’s all. I’ve no doubt I’m here to deal with these horrors. Not sure how. Some things have been clarified for me thru the ‘ether’. Patterns…omg. Thanks so much. Keeping on!

I successfully 100% healed 1 of my traumas with emdr. I have other traumas untreated yet. My experience of healing trauma is being carefully skillfully guided to relive the emotions and energy of the event over and over and over as it diminishes gradually until completely gone. In between sessions I remember great elation and immediate weight being relieved and re ignition of previously lost dimensions and parts of myself from processing the trapped energy. After the processing during each step stage, the numbness and negative energy would come back and my therapist would guide me back to the event again and boom, the whole trapped emotions would arise again. I could not get back to event myself and it required trusting a practicianer to take me. Over a year or so, the processing I did was dumbfounding because it was immediate and completely life saving. My entire life is owed to this. Imagine if the world had more practicianers of this, and Imagine if it became so apart of common sense that we could guide each other with the same ease that we already guide each other in the values and "self help" in family, in community and as colleagues.

The most important aspect of healing trauma is how traumas can be viewed as every size on a spectrum or continuum from small all the way up to Trans generational and from past lives. Meaning, every injury no matter how small can be viewed as a trauma, but we don't see them this way because of how successfully we process incorrect energy at night when we sleep and in our everyday conversations. It's when our self healing practices fail and the incorrect energy gets locked inside you that we know we have trauma. But we can view all of the negative energy as traumas whether they cause us repeatable suffering or the suffering is successfully transmuted by our best healing practices. Because of my success with emdr I am a suspicious of healing practices that do not involve multiple successive repetitive going back to the I injury, and with each time peeling back until it's gone.

Teal, I've been following you for like eight years now. You've made a tremendous impact on my life and I will always be grateful for everything I've ever learned from you.
However, this ancestral healing thing you've been talking about for quite some time now is making me anxious and nauseous. I cannot forgive my family for every abuse that was done to me, from both sides. My uncles, aunts and relatives were very supportive to my parents while abusing me. I was always "the one with the problem", "the crazy one", "the rageful one". Even when I was five years old!!!
I was abused physically, emotionally, mentally, psychologically (maybe it's the same thing, I don't know) and verbally.
I don't remember being sexually abused, but I've had some kind of visions during meditations about my uncle sexually abusing me. Whether that happened or not I cannot be quite sure, but let's say it didn't happen.
What did happen was quite enough. I was alone, I haven't experienced love, validation, belonging... when I was really little and wasn't "behaving well", I was told by my relatives that I should be good to my mom because she has hard time, I should understand her and help her. Should I even mention that there was nobody who understood that I had a difficult time, that I needed help, I needed understanding?
I was a parent to my parents and it was encouraged by other family members.
How on earth could I see that not everyone is guilty when everyone actually did abuse me in some way!? I was a punching bag for the whole family, LITERALLY, and now I am supposed to find something GOOD in them? HELL NO!
    I would rather die alone.
