Anne and I take a stroll down Walking Street chatting about her trip to see family and about other topics like drinking and smoking. We also go shopping at a supermarket and stop into a ramen shop.
I open up about my past when I was married and explain how drinking became a problem in my previous marriage and family situation. I tell the story about when I was arrested and placed in jail and why.
Come take a walk with us, join us shopping and listen along as we talk about some interesting topics.

I got sober in 1999 the first time and fell off the wagon in 1993. I got sober again June 25th 1996 and have been sober since.
We all have our bad experiences in our lives. We need to forget the past and not worry about tomorrow and focus on today. Stay sober today and keep the serenity prayer in the forefront of your mind. Your mind will take you to the bottle fast.

Hey Chubs, I did catch on to you being in recovery/ X alcoholic when you had an interview with Brian. I can usually tell a X alky when they talk about their life for a bit without actually mentioning alcohol... Good job on the sobriety road, I was the same age when I got my first DUI and was introduced to treatment. Unfortunately, for me I only stayed sober 3 years then, now it's been on and off since 2002 when I relapsed.

Thanks for sharing your story man. It's funny, today I finally asked my Dr. If there were any meds out there that could help me finally quit drinking. She said there were a few meds, but we're going to try one that requires monthly injections.
I just wish I had quit drinking 20 years ago when I got pulled over for suspicion of DUI. I got off because of a technicality. Looking back on it I wish they would have thrown the book at me.
I was 35 at the time. Now I'm overweight, divorced, and have liver issues and neuropathy (Hello Ladies!). I'm planning on moving to the Philippines or Thailand for a second chance at life. I'm hopeful about my future for the first time in years. You vloggers have radicalized me lol. Thank you all!

Nice to see Adrian at the beginning of your video. Unfortunately your drinking messed up your family but it's great to hear that you got the help that you needed and that you are sober now. We can't change the past but we can use the past to better our present and for our future. I was wondering if you knew Philly Brian since you both are in the same area. My first wife had a drinking problem and an opioid addiction problem which ended up taking her life My older brother was getting drunk all of the time as we were living together and after I got married to my present wife I couldn't deal with him being drunk all of the time so we left. I don't know if he still drinks ad gets drunk or not but when I talk to him on the phone he sounds better. I tried to get my first wife help but in the end she is the one who has to want the help. I came home from work one day and she was unconscious so I called 911 and she never woke up. She was on a ventilator to keep her breathing as the doctors did everything that they could but when they said that she had no brain activity I decided to take her off of life support. She passed away on February 13, 2007. I'm only telling this because I want people to know about these dangers. Thank God that you got help before it was too late.

I drink to two liters of beer and usually have a couple of Shots. I think I am pretty healthy. I have had every problem caused by alcohol. My soon to be x-wife is a very angry drunk. I have left her and considering stop drinking. I am thinking of starting over at 55 in Philippines. I know I am not doing angry wife again. I don't get hung over or drink in morning, BUT when I am with friends I GET WAY FUCKED UP and ACT LIKE AN IDIOT. I just don't see starting again with that as extra baggage. I always want to keep drinking Because I feel not a super drunk tlll I go back and remember every time I ficked up I was drunk.

Im a alcoholic and a smoker. But when I met my filipina I started to cut down, later when I got new medication for my reumatism I could cut down even more since I wasnt in pain all the time. And when we got our daughter I cut down to where I am today. I drink 1 time a week, weak alcohol beer 2.8% (need around 18 to get drunk) and I drink for around 12 hours, I dont get to the point where I flip and start fuck up. And I smoke on average 1 stick a day.
On summer when its nice weather I drink and smoke more often. On vaccation its alot more but I stay away from strong stuff apart from when I drink with her relatives. And my main rule when drinking in Philippines is: when you start to feel drunk but want to drink more, get back to your hotel and drink there.

its not a struggle for everyone and some do fine with it… it is when it is considered for everything: family functions restaurant choices vacation spots weekend evenings free time b4 kids school events happy hours social time with neighbors after work with coworkers.. basically everything you do will revolve around the use of alcohol, you dont consciously think about it but it is always considered…

❤❤❤great video explaining how you are doing and thinking. I noticed you have been very honest with yourself and your videos. I thought about you after learning about the Vikings. I was in Michigan growing up but liked the Vikings. Fran Tarkenton was a favorite QB. 3 Super Bowl games. My favorite NFL shirt love purple. Not sure if heard of Jordan Peterson but he is great man that helped thousands understand what is important to be a good person and help people with problems. (Everyone). I drank too much at college and after that. So I know what you are talking about. I got in trouble a couple times too. Luckily I stopped drinking while in Germany of all places but did drink beers a couple times and got drunk so easy to start drinking. I got married and had a baby so I was busy with him and the Army. Right there and then I decided no more for me.
So your story resonates with me. I got divorced too. I was in Philippines 🇵🇭 Clark 3 years ago and know the area and situation there. So we have a lot in common. I can relate with you growing up in Michigan and going to college. Working hard and getting your life together while it’s falling apart. Then moving away from home and friends. I enjoy the style of your videos and your content. Glad everything is going well with you and your plan. I also deal with anxiety and worry now so I know what you did is amazing and now you can relax live a simple lifestyle and enjoy your day. Much respect for you and your decision to pack up and go. I too am ready to make a change and go back to Clark for a little more relaxation. I need to downsize here not ready to sell everything and go like you did. ✌️🙏🏼❤️Greg M

I would ask people what happened last night. One bartender told me dude you dance with every hot chick in the bar last night. I was like dang wish I could remember that. Like you said conversation lubricant and dance gasoline for me. I was hoping there would be some more dance clubs around walking street but not that many and the music is so loud. We had many live bands in Michigan and played cover songs. In Vegas we have /had a lot of pool parties which I enjoyed being outside and the the pool ambiance. Getting too old for dance clubs. I like all the roof top bars you have shown. I think hanging out at the pool and getting some sun would my cup of tea. Eating pizza 🍕 at the 69 bar or other places on the roof top with awesome views. Also, good advice on if someone is going there... to make it 2 weeks minimum. I would add to try and make it 28 - 30 days to take advantage of the 30 visa there.... and two weeks goes WAY too fast. For me it's 35 - 40 hours from door to door (leaving my house in the USA and arriving at the condo in the Philippines.) Also, handy tip.... fly biz class and you never need even a day of rest after arriving. The full night of sleep on the jet in the lie flat seat, as well as great food, all work wonders to help you feel good upon arrival.
