    guys, no chance disturbing Ebrar Karakurt from her receptions. She is so good at receptions and also played as an outside hitter early in his carreer , she played in Russian league this season as an opposite and whenever the team struggled in receptions she passed to outside hitter and managed the job with insanely high percentage receptions.She also has been the russian league Mvp by breaking all time points record. However, Turkiye has different problems this time.Zehra Guneş played with shoulder injury all year long in club season and had terrible performance, captain Eda Erdem's ankle injury is also bothersome. And Vargas is still far from her last summer performance after her long lasting shoulder injury in China league.

    Coach of Turkish team Danielle Santarelli disappointed us big time this year; It turned out that Daniele was completely disconnected from our league, he said this himself that he had not followed our league! And more interestingly, it turned out that his assistant Turkish coach (Beşiktaş's coach) and team manager (Fenerbahçe's manager too!!!) were just hanging around and did not make any significant input into the team in terms of technical details-personnel etc. issues. Aslı Kalaç and Beyza Arıcı, both of them are wonderful players in character, but they both remained very mediocre after advancing from the group matches in the European championship matches, they are both doing well in our Sultan's league, but unfortunately they are very inadequate at the international level. For example, I still haven't gotten over the trauma of the Milano-Fenerbahçe series; The middle-blocker of Milano is Folie, who is only 1-2 cm taller than Aslı Kalaç, she made 15 blocks in 8 sets, Aslı's total in 8 sets is 1 or 2 blocks!!! If you substitute a random 50 year old 170 cm tall woman as the middle-blocker in two games that lasts 8 sets, the ball will hit this woman's hand or arm once for 8 sets!!! Beyza, on the other hand, is incredibly slow and too "soft" for the middle-blocker. Her attacks are too slow and not hard enough, softer than the tips of Antropova! Doesn't Santarelli know about these!?! Didn't anyone tell about these defeats to Daniele!?! A 182 cm tall outside hitter Cazaeute (Milano) who is normally a reserve player in Milano, came to Istanbul and got 5 out of 5 attack points in the golden set against Fenerbahçe facing Aslı Kalaç, and Aslı couldn't even disturb this girl and force Cazaute to make any errors!... She couldn't block any of Cazaute's shots, at least scare her a little bit. We experienced the same thing again today from two Italian outside hitters who are 180-182 cm tall. I literally got nervous while watching it. Every ball touched by Italian outside hitters and middle-blockers became a point. Most of the time, Antropova didn't even need to en-force things. These are vital critical information. And Santarelli's coaching team has been ignoring the best middle blocker in Turkish league; Yasemin Güveli, and another experienced blocker Kübra has also been forgotten! Also Meliha İsmailoğlu Diken has also been forgotten... why tthe coaches don't call these three to come and join the team during practices, and try them all during practices, at least tell Vargas and Ebrar, go ahead and hit above 2-meter tall Kübra and an aggressive blocker Yasemin. Can't he even think of this? How many times did Stefano Lavarini, whom we disliked and sent away from Fenerbahçe, made Meliha do pipe-attacks from the backfield at the beginning of the season, when Ana Cristina was injured and Arinna was not fully fit... Meliha has great serving success and backcourt defense throughout the season. Yasemin Güveli has literally taken Çukurova team from the relegation bracket, up a notch. How can these not be evaluated!
    Players like Antropova or Egonu or Ana Cristina can hit from about 40-45-50 cm above Aslı Kalaç or Beyza Arıcı. Actually, I was thinking that maybe it could only work for fast short players like Japan or Thailand, but having these two players start didn't help much in the match against Japan either. The 180-cm-tall Koga scored 32 points and destroyed us... If we still go to the 2nd week with the same middle-blocker and outside-hitter lineup, we will be defeated in the VNL game after game. The highest place we can reach in the Olympics is 8th with this game plan and roster quality. Canada with Van Ryk and Alexa Gray would give us a hard time right now, we could even fall to 9th or 10th spot!.. (It is impossible for us to beat Brazil, USA, China, Italy, Serbia, Japan, Poland in the Olympics with this game-plan and roster depth and quality). We also need to ask this: How many times did Ayça serve in total in her professional life? What a stupid decision to bring a libero to serve in place of Ebrar!!! Ypu must bring a good defensive outside hitter who can do a lot of good things including serving. After the France match tomorrow night, Ayça and Derya should be thanked for their services and sent away, and Meliha-Yasemin-Kübra should be called urgently. They must camp and train like Marines, 24/7. They should work just like the Japanese squad, with no red carpets events, no parties, no fancy outings allowed. Otherwise, serious defeats are on our doorstep!!!...

    Subscribed! Where has this channel been hahaha.
    I need to vent a little bit after the first week though, so I hope there will be a detailed video about the first week soon.
    I think Everett need not worry at all for his team, the way Canada looks right now, Japan may as well be fighting for the 5th Qualification spot with the Netherlands.
    Rob should not be so sure about plummer. She is my favorite outside, but I was already heartbroken last olympic cycle when she had a similar club season and still wasn’t chosen.
    Thompson has not played to her standard since switching to the turkish league at all. I think that second opposite spot should be up for grabs. I say should because kiraly is incredibly stubborn and I’m beginning to think this mixing and matching is just for show; he will always pick experience.
    This week has been the worst week for me as a spectator. The way the brasil fans damn near bullied our players in every match was almost comical. The fact that we couldn’t use that as motivation to play better was probably a worse feeling. I think other nations were probably licking their chops looking at us, knowing the points they can get from a very doable win.
    In my opinion, and knowing kiraly, larson and robinson are locked. For my personal preference, plummer is also locked and I think avery made a great case for herself, but he does like to play lanier.
    Obogu, washinton and rettke are locked, even though I do like o’neal and wish we could bring 4!
    I think the second setting position will be interesting. Poutler is clearly not at her best yet, but the us team in brasil this week did not help carlini’s case. I used to see her as the no.1 setter, but was shocked when she wasn’t picked last olympics. Poutler is the best setter and has the best tempo, but hancock has the best serve on the team actually and is very aggressive at the net. Carlini is the best at floor defense and possibly blocking, but I don’t think kiraly is prioritizing floor defense for a setter; probably why she wasn’t picked last go around. They did win without her, but honestly the US was so deep last go around they could have won with a few players not chosen; including plummer and carlini. I like robinson and larson, but together they can fall into a hole where we can’t terminate the ball. I’m really rooting for plummer, I think her block on the outside can really make a difference because most teams’s offense are led by their opposites. Also plummer next to rettke is a comic of a wall 😭
    End rant lol

    Don't believe the myth that USA has "so much talent to choose from" and hence finalizing the Paris roster will be difficult. If they had a wealth of talent they would've finished better than 4th in 2023 VNL & 2nd after losing to DomRep at NORCECA. USA has a lot of players within a comparable range of talent, and no superstars. And their ball control has contributed to losses. True that final roster will require tough decisions, but that's only because few players stand out above the rest.

    • @paulisawesome3
      @paulisawesome3 16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      They still have the talent. 3 champions league champions, 2 champions league finalists, and players on all the top clubs in the world. They have better depth than every team in the world. But having depth doesn’t immediately translate to wins. And no, they don’t have one true superstar attacker to rely on.

      @@paulisawesome3fr usa won on 2021 bc they had the most complete players for each position doing exactly what they had to do… now they have mediocre players achieving half of what they have to do

    • @spasiba12345
      @spasiba12345 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It's not a myth. There is a ton of depth. Quality depth. But that doesn't guarantee a top of the podium finish. Sometimes it just isn't your day and you have to give credit to the other team, as much as that pains me as a diehard USA V supporter.
      The 4th place VNL was last year, and since then all the USA players have gained valuable experience with their pro clubs overseas. For the record, the US Women have also won the VNL three times (2018, ’19, ’21). Team USA also managed to win their first Olympic Gold Medal, in Tokyo 2021.
      Conegliano, which features four Americans, just won CEV Champions League. Outside hitters Kelsey Robinson-Cook and 6-foot-6 Kathryn Plummer, both starters, led the Italian side to the title.
      Reserves, setter Madison Bugg and outside hitter Khalia Lanier, got invaluable experience playing for Conegliano against top level competition on the road to that championship.
      Conegliano beat Allianz Vero Volley MILANO in the final. Milano features two Americans who have seen significant playing time for USA: 6-foot-8 middle blocker Dana Rettke and outside hitter Kara Bajema.
      Karch Kiraly's pool of talent includes three experienced setters: Jordyn Poulter, Micah Hancock and Lauren Carlini. Hancock has been one of the top servers in Italy pro volleyball as well.
      And though world rankings are not always completely accurate or reflective of how well a team is playing at a given moment, the USA Women are ranked #2 worldwide.

      Have you noticed that USA women roster for vnl has been rotating every week? That is, different set of girls are playing every week (see 2022 and 2023 vnl). Some teams like China, Poland, Brazil and Turkey almost always play the same players over and over. These countries also have their own club leagues, which means their starting players get to play with other starters during club season, so these players have a yearlong playtime with each other. USA, meanwhile doesnt have their own club league, have to go overseas away from their home comfort to play during club season, they are all over europe, asia and south america, come back during national season on a rotating roster and still ranked #2 world wide currently.

      @@wyng4247 I would like them to rotate with a balanced team. They need to mix more advanced players with the newbies. I am hoping we start club league soon
      so our players can decide to stay at home or go over seas.

    Jennifer Cross time is up. There are better players than her. Van Buskirk is way better Middle Blocker than Cross. Don't over looks S.Joseph she is a very improved player after her PVF experience. Buskirk will know this since she playerd against her about 4 times during PVF. Both are on Canadian team for now. It's unfortunate Dholi Thokbuom isn't on the Canadian team as MB.
