      I think so! how are you doing?

    This is not necessary, but it is safer and probably more convenient depending on how you're parking your bike. On my RCR, Ive had my XLR hanging out the front casing with a 3 pin DMX terminator cap and I've had zero issues with about 3600 miles riding in LA.

      LA and Detroit are two very different things when it comes to weather and road quality 😂 Especially if you’re like me and ride into the winter nasty brown slushy/snow months

    Great vid! Looking to grab that cable extension. Wanted to ask what shocks are in your Onyx? Any rebound adjustments with those shocks?

    Great review on the process. Did you buy it with the bracket or the cable only?

    Thanks Randy. I'd love to know how much brighter your headlight gets you and other than aesthetics what you prefer/don't prefer about it?

    • @mirandys
      @mirandys  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is significantly brighter. I think the proportion of the light to the bike looks better personally, the quality of the “halo” light is better as the ring is a more consistent beam without the hot spots. Only downsides is it’s so big it definitely pushed the limits of the brackets... any larger and it wouldn’t fit the bike. Technically the larger light means it does pull more energy from the battery and therefore would decrease your range... however I don’t use the headlight excessively, only when riding at night and it’s a small price to pay for better safety!

    I bought the extender but for some reason when I pull the wire out the plugs only reach like a 2 inches away from the opening so I can't detach it smh

    What's your thoughts on the electric motorcycles from Super Soco?

    • @mirandys
      @mirandys  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Esk8 Jaimes The super soco looks like a cool bike. I have a coworker who rides one. I don’t know much about them but the big things for me I think that has kept me from buying one vs the onyx is 1. Price to speed vs the ONYX (60mph top speed vs 30mph) 2. The lack of pedals means you may not be able to register as a moped in some states 3. Aesthetics, I like the more future cafe racer look of the ONYX 4. Modifiability, I like how I can easily work on and customize/personalize my ONYX over the Super Soco
      The super soco is cool though, just my 2c on what lead me to the ONYX.

    Can you recommend other mods for weatherproofing? I’m in San Francisco and wondering what I should do to protect the bike when it rains. Thanks!

    • @mirandys
      @mirandys  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Joel Scoles the best thing I have seen people do for weather proofing has been to add weather stripping to the inside of the metal side panels to create a better seal of the internal components away from the elements. Otherwise my ONYX has been very durable in snow and rain as long as it is not sitting in standing deep water I wouldn’t be too worried
