I live in NorCal. We have year-round disc golf and tee shirt and shorts most the winter. There are only a few days a year we can't play. I have three world championship courses nearby. We pay for it in cost of living, but joy of life is priceless. I travel to other places for fun, not to escape weather.
The Jumping Dog !!! (Hole 8) What a CLASSIC DG moment that could ONLY be captured by TDGG. Thanks for your continued coverage Terry. And for getting Rick into the "booth" ! 😄
Vista was the first course I ever played way back in 1998, Ive played hundreds of rounds there. My first ace was the old hole 9, the same basket theyre throwing to on Hole 1 second round (different teepad). Its awesome seeing how the course has grown and changed over the years.
I live in the sand hills of North Carolina. The off season for me is when it gets too damn hot and humid to be outside. Right now in December is the best part of the year. 30s and 40s in the morning, 50s in the afternoons. All perfect temperatures for disc golf.
My neighbor helped with the manufacturing of zing flap jacks. He heard me putting in my back yard and came over with a bunch of free stuff. Awesome guys.
I live in beautiful Florida so i dont need to go anywhere. I am going to Samui in may though and im stoked to go play the course....oh and the full moon party
I don't long-term change climates during winter. I live in Globe, AZ, about 1 1/2 hour drive east of Scottsdale, somewhat up in the mountains. During the winter I'll make the commute down to the valley for some warmer weather disc golf. But I'm also only 1 1/2 hours south of Show Low, AZ (home of the Ulibarris) at 7000 ft. elevation for much milder summer temps.
Headed to Nokia Finland for the European open and beautiful weather the only time of the year they get it. Plus, not a bad time to get out of Phoenix when it’s 120 degrees
Going on vacation to Koh Samui in february. Going from throwing discs in 3 feet of snow in Finland to palm trees, green grass and turquoise water is going to be a welcomed change of scenery for sure!:)
I told my wife that if I ever have some kind of terminal medical issue, I want to play the Samui Swine Classic before I die. Although I am not an MPO caliber player, I do believe that I could hang with the best of 'em at that event, plus it looks like a beautiful place with amazing food and a really chill atmosphere. That is the answer to your question Terry, definitely the Samui Swine Classic. I also really need a new pair of shoes!!! Those Idio shoes look pretty sweet!
I travel from Finland to Florida every winter, I sort of prefer the warm weather disc golf over the knee deep in snow version of it.... Thailand sounds super tempting for it as well, so it's definitely on the list for the future.
Living in Milwaukee, I just go out and play as if nothing has changed, regardless of the weather. Giving up during winter would sacrifice half the year
I wish I could go somewhere warmer for the winter months, but not in the plans this year. Hasn’t been too cold yet, but know that it will be eventually
I live in south western OH and I would absolutely love to go to a warmer climate for the off-season. I continue playing no matter how cold it gets but I would love to feel my fingers again while I throw😂
Dry Texas winter - Pfah - Man, I'm stuck in Chicago and playing disc golf in dec/winter means heading out into the mud (if temps are nicer) or heading out into sub zero winds. I wish I could travel to a warmer climate to play. Sigh.
I've lived my entire life in Oklahoma, my daily life and the seasons go hand in hand and is routine for me. So traveling to a different region or climate just isn't something that concern me. Like anyone, I like to see and experience other places but I dont have to do that.
I have family in Mesa and look forward to Thanksgiving every year where I get to throw at Vista, Emerald, Red Mountain and Fountain Hills until my arm falls off.
North Carolina disc golf is already better in the winter - more gaps, no ticks or snakes - no need to travel. Nice to watch Central Coast OG Jordan Castro
I'm in Iowa here, so anywhere south is better for me. I'd love to visit family in the Philippines during winter. Not sure what the disc golf scene is like there, though.
I wouldn’t mind going somewhere a little drier in the winter. I’m in the PNW so it mostly just rains all winter, makes for some pretty uncomfortable rounds. Overall it’s pretty mild tho so I’m probably good here.
Film? Pssh I was there in 2008 and cashed in that Major only to return in 2010 to cash there too. Too much Yen to even count. More seriously ... I WILL return there someday to do proper disc golf coverage seeing how my prior two visits were when I was still an actual competitor. I've had the honor of being in Taiwan in the past few years but you're right - Japan needs to happen again!
Last week of January into the first weekend of February. Ams play 22 holes each day on Tue, Wed, Thu (Jan 30, 31, Feb 1) while the pros will play 22 holes each day on Fri, Sat, Sun (Feb 2, 3, 4)
Thanks for the suggestion. I had one but told him to instead to head to the chase card for this particular final round. The scores were incredibly tight heading into the final round and the 2 time event Champion and local hero, Anthony Barela was on the card along with great players like Connor Rock, Kade Filimoehala and Mason Hults. I was betting on the idea that the chase card could keep it very competitive or even provide the winner of the event. It was a calculated decision to have 2 single cams of coverage vs the exclusive lead card with throw and catch. I do not regret my decision but I can appreciate your feedback none the less.
Thanks for the content Terry!! Patrick Mertz here I grew up in woodstock illinois and loved playing the silver and Grey fox courses!! I'm at my family's in small town Tennessee for work layoff getting those rounds in!! I actually plan to take a trip and visit my aunt and uncle in Arizona this winter for w weeks to get some solid practice and hikes in!!! I'm here for the awesome free stuff and content hahah th-cam.com/users/Throwin-discgolf

Where in NorCal? I'm right by sac
The Jumping Dog !!! (Hole 8) What a CLASSIC DG moment that could ONLY be captured by TDGG. Thanks for your continued coverage Terry. And for getting Rick into the "booth" ! 😄
Summer disc golf is my offseason…I’m always itching to go somewhere colder and snowier with good skiing
I LOVE seeing Max out and about!!!
Climate wise I live in Arizona so I'm good throughout the winter. It was great to see you here again Terry!
What a fun looking course. Having lived in the Phoenix area for several years. I'm glad they are repurposing parks for this.
Great entertainment while were in the off season! Thanks man!

I grew up in West Bend, WI playing disc golf in snow. I moved to Phoenix, AZ and I don’t miss losing disc in snow 😂
I’m also from MN, went to AZ this year from Jan-March (working remote is awesome), but this year I will stay and “play” some winter disc golf. ☺️
Vista is my home course… the off-season is our prime time… but to flip the script… I have a bucket list wish to go play Fox Run in the fall…
Texas to Colorado, I need the mountains and I do not need another Texas summer. Can't wait to play the mountain courses
I live in Tennessee, the weather here is awesome all year. It's a touch cold some days, but not bad at all!

I live here in the Phoenix area, so this time of year is great! I try to play up north in Flagstaff or Pinetop in the summer due to the heat here.
Oh how I wish I could go warmer. Not too bad so far this year in Northern Utah but last year about broke me. Terry AZ sounds nice right now!
My neighbor helped with the manufacturing of zing flap jacks. He heard me putting in my back yard and came over with a bunch of free stuff. Awesome guys.
I have gone to Hawaii in the past for winter. Super fun
Great job Disc Golf Guy.

Living in Australia where we just had a 40°C average week, looking at moving to Sweden around April/May next year
Samui is a bucket list course for sure! But I'm happy here with a dry texas winter :)
I like the idea of a New Zealand disc golf vacation Starting in Auckland and making your way to Invercargill
Definitely need to get somewhere warmer to play this winter
Going on vacation to Koh Samui in february. Going from throwing discs in 3 feet of snow in Finland to palm trees, green grass and turquoise water is going to be a welcomed change of scenery for sure!:)
I’m in Texas this off season. A lot less snow than NW PA! Unfortunately hurt my back and I can’t get out to take advantage 😢

Bro take your wife on a vacation

Lol! If I could afford it I would. We haven't even gone on a honeymoon yet and we've been married 8 years!
As an AZ local, I'm good stayin right here during the cold months😂
SAME hahaha
I grew up in Phoenix. The best weather in my opinion is from mid November through early March.
I’m from Alaska and started college in Iowa this year and it feels like a mild climate to me 😂 Arizona would be the dream though
I travel from Finland to Florida every winter, I sort of prefer the warm weather disc golf over the knee deep in snow version of it....
Thailand sounds super tempting for it as well, so it's definitely on the list for the future.
21:20 Is that Jason Hesnehal (probably spelled wrong) in the crowd from the Jomez Celeb video a couple weeks ago?
Living in Milwaukee, I just go out and play as if nothing has changed, regardless of the weather. Giving up during winter would sacrifice half the year

Super stoked these are coming in! Time for me to genuine cold and head to Vista Del Camino and enjoy some disks and warm sun!! Keep it coming Terry!
Pensacola is pretty sweet this time of year most weeks!
I live in south western OH and I would absolutely love to go to a warmer climate for the off-season. I continue playing no matter how cold it gets but I would love to feel my fingers again while I throw😂
From Atlanta GA area, so decent climate. Would love to be S Florida for the winter, and be able to play a lot of the time in shorts.
Texas is good this time of year. would be nice to be somewhere cooler in the summer, but I'm kind of used to the heat after this past summer.
Dry Texas winter - Pfah - Man, I'm stuck in Chicago and playing disc golf in dec/winter means heading out into the mud (if temps are nicer) or heading out into sub zero winds. I wish I could travel to a warmer climate to play. Sigh.
I have been trying to get out of Indiana forever. If my wife was for it, we would live in Savannah, GA tomorrow.
That dog!! If you slow it down, it looks like he jumps over the disc. That's disc golf right there!
I really would like to spend at least part of the winter in either NC or AZ
Not a bad idea!
I've lived my entire life in Oklahoma, my daily life and the seasons go hand in hand and is routine for me. So traveling to a different region or climate just isn't something that concern me. Like anyone, I like to see and experience other places but I dont have to do that.
No plans. SF bay area.
I have family in Mesa and look forward to Thanksgiving every year where I get to throw at Vista, Emerald, Red Mountain and Fountain Hills until my arm falls off.
Thanks Ter Bear
You're welcome Terlap :)

I live in AZ, so... I'm going to stay here during the winter
Not a bad idea but where might you go if you could choose ANYWHERE else?
@thediscgolfguy I might want to go to Japan, actually. I've seen some beautiful courses on some of their coverage. You should go film out there!
Film? Pssh
I was there in 2008 and cashed in that Major only to return in 2010 to cash there too. Too much Yen to even count.

@@thediscgolfguy ok, I'll film you then!
We play all year round in Colorado. But I would like to not play in the snow
I don't need to go to a warmer climate in the off season. I live in south Texas.
Would love to play in warmer climate, but with a small baby it’s difficult to travel
What's the ruling if a dog runs away with your disk?🤔
Mark it where the group believes it last was.
My dog knows better. She'll go to the disc but not in her mouth
If i could afford 2 houses i woupd most definitely be a snow goose and migrate. 😂
Most of us have jobs Terry we can't just pack up and go to warmer weather for disc golf 😭
Oh, I guess I should steer clear from that 'job' thing too then. Doesn't sound like it's for me :)
Live in canada.....anywhere warmer lol
When is the Samui event happening?
Last week of January into the first weekend of February. Ams play 22 holes each day on Tue, Wed, Thu (Jan 30, 31, Feb 1) while the pros will play 22 holes each day on Fri, Sat, Sun (Feb 2, 3, 4)
Why does Andrew remind me of a mini Anthony Barela??? 🤣
Where is rick Terry?
Anyone see a footfault on hole 4?
is Parker Welck wearing a DGA shirt? hmmm
I thought that's what it was as well but it's not.
@@thediscgolfguy he got us good! LOL
@@thediscgolfguy i Called it! i think you knew too you sly dog! ;-)
Living in Texas I get decent winters so no need to go to other climates.
Late fall in Ohio....not bad when the suns out...mmmm silver dollar pancakes....xtra butter
Damn, Rick bailed on you for round two?
Not at all.
We just ran out of time before I had to catch my flight back so unfortunately it was just me solo for second round.
More@@thediscgolfguy is never unfortunate to me!
Get a catchcam please. This is hard to watch....
Thanks for the suggestion.

Jordan castro ewe...he's so unethical. Don't ever rely on him for an honest O.B. call.
