    Thanks a freaking lot! The tip on where to put the back foot and to focus on how to do the jump helped me to land a proper ollie after a month of tries! It was still a bit low and I can sure get better with the timing but was at least a standard leveled ollie! Now I can improve getting higher and maybe jump over something, thanks again you always do a great job explaining everything so damn clearly... I'll type it once again in my language: GRAZIE MILLE DAL SUD ITALIA! :)

    Nice VL! Hey I can't remember if you covered this in one of your other ollie videos but it should be worth mentioning that arm movement plays a huge role in ollies as well. Being able to spring your arms out to your sides helps keeping your stance parallel to the board and keeps you from thinking too much about your feet.
    Great tutorials. You really do deserve way more subscribers.

    The part about taking your front foot all the way to the nose was extremely helpful and important. I skated for years not doing that and stopping short at about the bolts and because of the fact that I had been doing it for so long I was able to make it work and was still pretty good, but it would take me longer to learn certain tricks and they were harder than they should have been. After learning that I should have been dragging my foot all the way to the nose it changed everything for me, all of a sudden the tricks i already knew became easier and more consistent, and I started progressing with new tricks a whole lot faster and better. This is the first and only video that I've ever seen that mentions that and emphasizes how important it is!

  • @seewhyaneyesee
    @seewhyaneyesee 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Facts:
    The jumping force is provided by the knee and the popping of your board’s tail is done by your ankle.
    Hence, you extend your knee as if you were jumping and as you’re about to leave your board that is when you pop the tail of that son of a gun with your ankle.
    Mind you that as you are popping you shall notice the frontside begins to rise (this is also when the skateboard only weights it’s weight because you’re in the air and your feet are only touching it) this is when you twist the outside your front foot so the top of your foot is facing the board. (Don’t worry about sliding anything at all)
    The Final Step
    And now you will be in the air and your pop beings to reach its peak height, all you do is push your front foot right towards whichever side the frontside of your board is facing.

    I'm sorry but you exsplain the ollie so much better than Aaron Kyro . I love you Aaron but you always say it's not a jump. So I've been thinking my board is going to magically rise off the ground without me jumping up. Now i know YOU DO NEED to jump. Thanks man! You've explained it well.

    One good tip i found is attempt an Ollie south but keep your back foot off after pop and if the board is way in front of you and your leg fully extended you are sliding well then put your foot on and put them two together

    Has an experienced skater i watched this by curiosity and while i pretty much knew all this, i think that was a nice video. You would make a good Skate teacher. I used to do that. It's lots of fun. Maybe you couldve covered that part of the Ollie were you can actually push your board foward in order to clear certain gaps/obstacles like a chain fence or a table. :) other than that nice job sir.
