Hi Patrick, can you post this to our FB group? Actually di pa ako nakapag MERN that's why di ko pa yan macocompare. Theoretically, mas maganda ang performance ng app mo if mag MERN ka, and mas modern tech din sya ngayon so it's good to try there. Pero no doubt na kayang kaya yan ng Laravel and VueJS kasi I have done this. Maganda naman ang performance because maganda din ang architecture. Sobrang laki ng files na iniimport namin so nag background processing kami. hehehe!

Minsan kasi considered rin talaga yung kung saan ka nag-eenjoy and mas natutuwa sa structure ng framework and yung capability nya. one would argue kung sasabihin kong the other one is better than the other. There are a lot of considerations, depende yan sa kung anong prefer mo. Is it the higher demand, or is it the higher salary? Is it the easier one or the more organized one? etc.. Anyways, vuejs is more used kapag naglalaravel ka as far as i know. Keep doing you research, pwede mo rin itry parehas so you can compare. :)

I have a personal reason that I take the job, to learn to code again, because I stop coding for almost 3 years' and I like the projects we are about / doing right now...

may pros and cons yan.. kung gusto mo gumawa ng project from frontend to backend using one prog. language, nodejs gamitin mo. mas mabilis mo magagawa yung project and hindi kana mag aaral ng php for laravel backend. pero, kung gusto mo mag diverse yung skills mo, pwede ka mag javascript for frontend tapos php naman sa backend mo. pag nakaka gagawa ng projects using two languages edi dalawang prog. languages na agad alam mo and mas maganda sa resume syempre dami mo agad alam na prog. languages eh.

if balak mo mag turo as teacher then Yes, pero sa field as Software Engr wala siyang additional points.
Kung para sa software engineering career, wag mo nang sayangin ang oras mo sa masters degree, hindi sya nagkacount dito. Mas okay pa kung mag-aral ka na lang and magtake ng mga certifications related sa job mo. Or allot your time in creating projects and gaining more experience. Keep exploring!

Ma'am, i am thinking of joining a bootcamp which is focused on full stack web development (expenses from my pocket).
My worries lang is: is web development a good long term career choice considering there are a lot of no-code platforms na? Baka kasi in 5-10 yrs mawalan na ng demand ang web development at ang matitira nalang ay iyong top10% web developers.
What are your thoughts/opinions maam?
