Hey there question! i ordered the standard quick fist clamps that come as a pair on amazon thats running at $10.95 i got the 10mm bolts washers and nuts. But my quick fist came in today and the holes are the size of a needle.. What size are the clamps cause a 10mm bolt is like an inch wide to go through
Did you pull off the windshield bumpstops or the washer fluid sprayers? I don't know the size difference between JK years. This video is on a 2007. Are you able to drill out the holes?

I don't recall the brand. It was from Ace Hardware. I painted it black, so I can't check.
looks like it will massively scratch up the hood over time and usage though
There's an inch gap between the blade and hood.
What you are seeing is mostly an issue of camera angle. If spacing is your concern, you might add a spacer or turn the blade to face up.
the shovel will scratch hood paint.. so you have to raise the shovel a little bit..
It wasn't an issue when mounted, but I had to be cautious when removing or reattaching it.
