This is beautifully sad. I am forced to resurface emotions once buried deep beneath my false happiness and exaggerated little joys. The shallow swallowed by the deep, I reflect wholly as I ponder on my regrets and best acts, my shame and triumphant displays. It's a long life ahead yet I am looking back. Akin to nostalgia - but not quite. I am not reminiscing. I am remembering.
