    Never missed an episode as a kid. Great show, and incredible voice cast. I remember Marty Ingels from The Phyllis Diller show, and he was PERFECT as Pac-Man.

    On the original PacMan Arcade Cabinet they were called Ghost Monsters. Also the Power Pellets were called Energizers.

    As I said before, I wasn't born until 1990, so I never watched the Pac-Man cartoon when it first came out. But I do remember watching the Christmas special for the show when I was a kid in the 90s. I've also been watching episodes of the show recently on TH-cam.
    Speaking of shows based on video games, since you mentioned Saturday Supercade, I hope you plan on doing a video regarding it.

    I'm legit shocked at the star-studded cast and their other work! like the VO for the big bad landing an important role in the first metal gear solid, (easily one of my favorite playstation games of all time!) I never knew! Pac-Man was probably one I remember watching back in the day alongside D&D, Pole Position and the other supercade stuff!

    As far as the ghost monsters go, I have a theory about their true nature. They are in fact... possessed chewing gum. Here me out. In the cut scenes of the first game we see Blinkey loose his sheet (wrapper?) He is a small pink blob. Later, in Pacman 2: the New Adventures and also in Pac In Time we see the Ghost Witch, leading the ghost gang. Her grand scheme? The creation of an abc gum monster, who appears in both games. With that in mind, Blinkey's sheetless form suddenly resembles a chewed piece of gum. The eyes represent its spiritual aspect, which has to return to the ghost house for fresh gum in order to interact with the world of the living.

    • @RetroDaze
      @RetroDaze  หลายเดือนก่อน

      A well conceived theory. But why do pieces of gum feel the need to chomp the people of Pac-Land? Revenge? 😉

    • @raymondtillotson6985
      @raymondtillotson6985 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@RetroDaze My guess is the spirits driving the gum have problems with the living. Alternatively, perhaps pac dots are really Pacman eggs, Pac-man practices extreme population control, and the ghosts, understanding death more than most, are on a pro Pac-life rampage.

    • @BrianRetro
      @BrianRetro หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @RetroDaze Maybe, but Lorenzo is by far the most popular Garfield voice. He provided the voice through the Golden Age of Garfield, from his early TV Specials through the whole run of Garfield and Friends.

    • @BrianRetro

    • @BrianRetro
      @BrianRetro หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @RetroDaze By the way, I watched Dave Lee Down Under's video, Evolution of Garfield and from there I found out that Frank Welker did voice Garfield in the French American CGI Series, The Garfield Show. Definitely not as popular as the early Garfield specials and Garfield and Friends TV Show, and both Welker and Bill Murray when he voiced Garfield in the movies more or less imitated Lorenzo's voice. Let's face it, Lorenzo Music IS the voice of Garfield. I can't read a Garfield comic to this day without hearing Lorenzo's voice. Oh, and Thom Huge is the voice of Jon Arbuckle.
