What an AWESOME video. Thanks so much for clear, easily understood how to ! Appreciated you showing how to open SD card slot, (I freaked before watching your video when the sim card fell out!)..now know that's normal. My new 128GB card installed without a hitch, transferred larger app files & all my photos to it. My A20 (and I) are much happier having the load lessened on internal storage. Also nice to know when I need SD card, you have them. I paid too much for mine!

My friend, this was one of the most helpful videos I've seen on this topic. Just went through several of the steps you shared to update my android phone. Thank you so much.
Excellent video, easy to understand and moves at a pace that is easy to follow.
On this phone model, moving your apps to sd is a bad idea. On this model every time you update an app that was moved, it will reinstall automatically back onto internal storage. This will cause problems once internal storage becomes full do to non transferable apps & needing updates. You won't be able to update or more apps. You will find yourself scrambling to free up space by deleting cache on every single app individually just to complete 1 or 2 updates. This model is extremely limited as for user customization. Just a heads up ✌

I thought i'd have to format the card. When you said IF the notice pops up & mine hadn't done that, I knew that was cool.
What really surprised me was having to move pics over album by album...oy... I really thought it would be one and done with everything moved over as it exists now (by album) in the internal storage.

hope this helps. usually you can do this on android phones with root permission, and that means you need to root your device. people root their device to get the most out of their androids, one specific feature is moving apps to sd card. i did root my samsung S3 when the warranty is void, and I loved it. check YT videos regarding your device and how to root it BUT BE WARNED, rooting your device have risks in it.

I have a newish A20 and just bought a new SD card. I'd like to move Apps to the SD, but in my system I don't get the Change button for *any* app. The SD is good because I've moved some files (images and videos) to the SD. My camera is set to use SD automatically. Is this something that changed with the latest update?
i had to shove that key in so hard i was afraid i would break the device before i got the tray to open.
Thanks for this comment. I had the same problem. Your comment encouraged me to push harder and sure enough the pin went in and the tray came out enough to grab it with finger nail.

First of all thanks for the video, now here's my situation. After moving the approved Apps 2 or 3 days will go by and they end up back and internal storage this is very frustrating to me is there something that I may not be doing here any help is greatly appreciated

Idk if you're going to reply to this but I recently just got a sd card (it came in the mail today) and it's the 128gb evo one like in the description. When inserting the memory card my a20 will not detect it, I've tried everything to restarting phone to clearing date and cache on the file app and still nothing please can you help?

This might be very useful but when I click on the 3 dots only 3 options pop up, so have you missed a step. They are as follows: Permissions manager, Special access and Reset app preferences. So what do I have to do please. Please advise.

I got a microSDXC UHS-I CARD and when i move an app it says it was moved but it doesn't move it my storage is still full in the card's file it says some was moved but my phone doesn't have enough space to hold it but i can still bring it back i should have atleast 5GB of data on the card but there is only 368MB on the card

Pictures to the SD card worked but all my apps said internal storage even the one's I added from the Play store. I couldn't switch any to the SD card. Are there different versions of the Samsung A20? Mine is from Tracfone. Oh well I tried. At least my pictures transferred. How about my contact?

When I click on the app to change it from the internal storage to SD card, it only shows me info about space used. It does't give me the option to change it like you do it. This is Galaxy A21

I think Samsung updated the software and removed the ability to permanently move apps on the SD

Ever since the software on the Samsung A20s changed, certain things on your phone are different to my phone (which has the recent software version) so for example, now when I want to move my apps, whenever I click the app and tap "storage", it does not give me an option to move the app to the SD card. What am I to do?

It would be GREAT if you made a video showing what apps aren't necessary and could be uninstall to save space on the phone. There are A LOT of Google apps that I bet I never use and could be removed. Those apps are also needlessly using up the 3 RAM on the phone.

Omgsh I was thinking the same thing the other day when my phone was going through cleaning cleaning up some stuff. There are so many little things on there that I don't even know what they're for little apps I guess I mean I don't even know what they are LOL this will be an awesome video let me know if you ever made them this feeling what actually don't need and how you can get them off your phone if there's no option to uninstall it!!

Listen, you are the BEST! I just called VZW to get assistance with the A20. My phone was full and it was just annoying everyday. I finally got an SD card and needed to know how to do all this.
