okay so idk if you would like to do this but i always find it so funny when ppl from other countries listen to dutch music but they never listen to dutch folk music, they only listen to hip hop. i am really curious what other ppl think about it.
So if u like this idea, you need to listen to Andre Hazes - bloed, zweet en tranen and Andre Hazes Jr. - leef and like Frans Bauer - heb je even voor mij Guus Meeuwis - Brabant.
This is not really folk music, but i love Bløf and they have a lot of good songs like, omarm me, misschien niet de eeuwigheid, barcelona.
I also love Doe Maar because i was kind of brought up with it. If you’re gonna listen to them you need to listen to smoorverliefd, doris day, sinds 1 dag of 2 (32 jaar).
They all have a lot of songs but these songs are songs that you need to listen if you even want to do it hahaha.
I personally don’t like all of the dutch folk music but there is almost always an Andre Hazes song when you go to a party or something so i kinda grew to kinda like some of the songs but i do really love Bløf (they’re actually good) oh and Marco Borsato is really good too. ‘Dochters’ is a beautiful song of his.
Doe maar is just really fun.
