His body was left on the snowy mountain, so she was unable to say goodbye to him. In the final scene of the movie, she goes to the snowy mountain to meet him and screamed to the mountain, "Ogenki desuka? Watashi ha genki desu (How are you? I'm fine)" and broke down crying. This sentence is an idiom often used at the beginning of letters in Japanese. In other words, it was a love letter addressed to him that would never arrive. This quote has the meaning of missing you and wanting to see you.

Old school hiphop head here. Not someone who followed girl groups until now but I am just obsessed with their talent. They got a grown man crying. Juria and Chisa are our modern-day Mariah Careys. Harvey must be a reincarnation of Lisa Left Eye Lopes from TLC with that voice. Cocona is like Bahamadia to me. Getting Q-tip and Magoo vibes from Jurin's vocal tone. Hinata can heal the world with her smile and voice. Maya is such an all-rounder with her powerful melodies and raps. They have elements from K-Pop, J-Pop, R&B, hiphop but they transcend all of it and are in their own genre. You can't even compare other girl groups to them, it wouldn't be fair. I officially know what it means to "stan" now...
On the flip side, as someone who's been into the Asian pop scene (J-pop and K-pop) for the past 20 years, and have focused on girl groups...XG is just such a breath of fresh air. I've never seen a group so intentionally focused on hip-hop and R&B, and not just for an aesthetic. If you haven't, check out their documentary if you want to see the blood, sweat, tears put into their training grind. All these girls genuinely love hip-hop and R&B, both old school and new school as showcased when they played the Song Association game (it's on yt!)...they know their shit. It's the first group that doesn't feel like they're forcing a concept by doing R&B and hip-hop like this because they're SO about itttt, if that makes sense.

How did they even have time?!?! Literally working over time no days off. I can't believe rapline has such amazing vocals it gives me goosebumps... their vocals really stand out. I think XG is the only girl group that contains people who are trained and professional in all aspects 😭.. I'm a K-Pop fan and every time I see a K-Pop group, there are members who are considered lacking, but when I see XG they always amaze me from their vocals, rap, dance, MV presentation, everything is so good and refreshing.. Many people who knows 90s j pop here are commenting that XG reminds them of y2k era j pop or old Avex music, which was based on EDM and R&B, and the company Avex was the one that produced earlier k pop artists like BoA (j pop artists then) and TVXQ, so some old k pop fans also feel some mid 00s k pop. But those fans who doesn't know anything about old j pop just feel 90s R&B (with slightly "japanese-ness" like Utada Hikaru) which j pop was heavily influenced from back then :-)

They kicked off this year with absolute bangers SS/ TT. Had promotions for different TV shows. Delivered so many YT contents. Interviews and photoshoots for big-name magazines. Traveled and performed around the world. Released an album and made MV for every single song. Had a showcase in their home. And now this. Delivering this emotional bop before 2023 ends. How did they even have time?!?! Literally working over time no days off. Can't wait to see what our gals are gonna do for next year, but I hope they also have time to spend and relax with their loved ones.

Yeah, especially on the R&B radio stations. I can see this slotting nicely on my local R&B station that plays classic and modern songs.
Now people will understand that XG is not a kpop group, this sound is not kpop neither of the songs in their discography has that kpop sound , THIS is their own sound as an International Group

I can't believe rapline has such amazing vocals it gives me goosebumps... their vocals really stand out. I think XG is the only girl group that contains people who are trained and professional in all aspects 😭.. I'm a K-Pop fan and every time I see a K-Pop group, there are members who are considered lacking, but when I see XG they always amaze me from their vocals, rap, dance, MV presentation, everything is so good and refreshing.. I hope next year you will become a monster on all world music platforms and your popularity will explode🎉😊😊

@@prsofficial11 They are *global* girl group from Japan and of course got some Y2K jpop dance pop vibes because it's under a Japanese agency but XG claims their music as X Pop or simply Pop, R&B, and hip-hop and indeed that's what they do
@@Tz3952ii They indeed give out y2k j pop vibes when r&b was still mainstream music there. Simon also studied music at a japanese uni and he himself was an Avex trainee around that time, so that also may have helped

Many people who knows 90s j pop here are commenting that XG reminds them of y2k era j pop or old Avex music, which was based on EDM and R&B, and the company Avex was the one that produced earlier k pop artists like BoA (j pop artists then) and TVXQ, so some old k pop fans also feel some mid 00s k pop. But those fans who doesn't know anything about old j pop just feel 90s R&B (with slightly "japanese-ness" like Utada Hikaru) which j pop was heavily influenced from back then :-)
