i can highly recomend XP-Pen pro tablets, u get everything with them, stand, glove, pen with extra nibbs and they aren't too pricy, had mine for a few years now an I love it
Huion has a new product line with new versions of the old tablets, that’s why the older Inspiroy is out of stock and you can only get it refurbished. The Inspiroy 2L is the newer version of the larger tablet.

Trust me, I didn't take it that well when I received them, I was furious (mainly because I needed the prints like yesterday and it all got delayed) But since they solved it quickly there are no hard feeling, unless it happens again 😅

That's absolutely unacceptable. Your products are all beautiful and it's been awesome seeing you make stuff. Hopefully it doesn't happen again to you!

The PDF was done. Why the extra work. And they put the printed uncut pictures without any margins??? (The standard 3x3x3mm at least) AND put the uncut pictures on each other without any space or cutting marks? WHY DID THEY USE THE FILL??? AND THE JPEG COMPRESSION!?? Who takes a TIFF or uncompressed PDF, and just goes "yup JPEG lol"? I'm just baffled??!!! At least it got resolved, but sheesh. Anyway, I love the video ^^ I hope I can afford the merch one day, the cat art is awesome and inspiring! ;w;

A weird quirk their display tablets have is that they zoom in by 150 % and you have to change that in the settings first. But yeah, my experience is with a display tablet by Huion. I like it a lot! It replaced my XP-Pen tablet that suddenly caused bluescreens on my windows 10 machine and their support answered me with 'we won't update the driver, revert your windows update' which is a very dumb idea. So yeah, Huion all the way. Dodge xp-pen.

Maybe you can add your signature like Jan van Haasteren does with his sharkvin signature in his puzzles. It's always fun to look for the sharkvin. Sometimes you can use old software on a newer pc if you change compatibility mode under properties from the software (windows), but i don't know how it is with a mac book. I'm glad that they are fixing the art prints that quickly, they are too pretty to be changed.
Previous mac os versions could do some backwards compatibility but the most recent os was a substantial enough change (at least supposedly) that its no longer possible. They even require totally different versions of things like the EA games launcher because the base os is coded so differently. There's a next to zero chance that wacom will create the necessary driver to make a 12 year old tablet work on the new os, they'd rather just sell a new one.
Heck I would say the whole calendar could be bigger period….I don’t know if it’s a European size but I have Lil Bub calendars that are 12 inches by 12 inches and when they are open they are 24 inches long!
Not sure if you already purchased a pen tablet, but I have one from a couple years back (never opened) that I would love to send you if you are still in need and interested! It’s an XP-Pen Deco Pro MW Pen Tablet 11”x6”. Unopened case too. I got it as a gift, so unsure about the quality.
Definitely sign the artwork for each page of the calendar! It would be great for if people do want to remove the date portion later to frame the art pieces for keeping the artist identity intact. Particularly with how vistaprint took your signature off the prints (whilst screwing them up with AI), you don't need things like that happening again.
I've been using a Huion Kamvas 191 since 2018, still going great. It is a display tablet and it does take up a fair amount of desk space, so don't get that one haha. I've had almost no trouble with my Huion. Sometimes the pressure sensitivity seems to stop working (usually after I update my system), and in that case reinstalling drivers works just fine. Not sure if that's a problem you'd run into on an Apple though.
Uh oh - I haven't been keeping up with TH-cam lately, so I didn't know Sally was sick. I hope she's okay. :( I've heard Huion is a decent alternative to Wacom! I think XPPen is another option you could look into? I haven't used either myself, so I can't personally vouch for them, but if you check reviews, you'll hopefully learn what you need! That AI thing is wild!! I can only imagine it's what you said and an intern did it?? I just don't understand how they thought it was appropriate not only to do that, but to send it to you! There must have been a miscommunication somewhere! Glad the printer fixed it for you at least.
Told my partner about you looking for a new drawing tablet & asked what it was they had. Their's is a Huion but the kind with a screen as opposed to the type you are after. The only thing you need to watch out for with Huion, at least on windows pcs (not sure if same for apple) is that their tablets won't work if you still have old drivers for other tablet brands. So you need to make sure the old drivers are fully uninstalled first so they don't conflict with the Huion drivers when you install them. Given your system has been recently updated that should be fine, but worth checking (or having someone with technical knowledge check) just in case. That way you won't have unnecessary issues! 🙂
I actually have an older Huion tablet I got 4 years ago. Mine is a Huion H1161 which I guess they don't sell anymore. It has worked fine so far. I don't know that it will last 12 years, but so far it is still working well.

I have only ever used display tablets so I am sorry it doesn't apply directly but maybe it still helps. I went from a Wacon Cintiq 13HD (I have had it for 10 years) and switched to a Huion Kamvas 24 and it is so much cheaper than the Wacomm counterpart and I am so incredubly happy with it!!! I even have a little Keydial Mini with it so I can customise all my shortcuts and it is all fantastic! Highly recomment. Also Wacom has used ai art in their marketing of tablets which I do not support so I am happy I did the switch :D
I have the huion inspiroy and I really like it. I thought it was a good price. I am not an extremely experienced digital artist, but the software is really easy to use, the buttons are easy to program, and it seems really responsive.
I personally have an XP pen! Theyre super nice, and mines been going strong for a good 5-6 years at this point! They have a lower price point. I use their screened tablet personally and have the XP pen artist pro 12 at the moment. It was my first screen tablet and ive loved it. At this point ive outgrown the size of it, and could use something larger, but have never had an issue with it!!
I have a huion tablet and i have to say, i really like it The quality is about the same as wacom in my expirience but the one thing that i love is that huions drivers are downloadable for free on their store. I dont know if wacom does that too now but i remember being so scared of my driver's cd breaking for my old wacom because i only had one XD

What was the point in mangling your art with AI? It doesn't even look great and how are artists supposed to trust that the products made with their art is the authentic art? I can understand resizing to fill the margins, but to put in a load of computer generated garbage into the image is just weird.
What the heck, Vistaprint is autofilling images?! Would have understood from a new/small company, maybe thinking "oh, we'll give them full value on their print!" but a company that big? Like they don't have enough experience at this point. Shame as I've been thinking of using them for my prints (we don't have too many options).
I have a cheap small Huion tablet, i think the model is HS64. I have it since 2019 and it's working grate (using it quite a lot!!) the only problem is it got sckratches but they do not bother me that much, so o think Huion will be a grate replacement!
Is there anyone here in the comments from the US that have ordered from Katvalk? Did you have any problems with shipping costs or whatever that customs thing is when you order internationally?
