I am 22 years old and from class 10th i have been trying to read gita but i was not able to understand it with a deep clarity and hence many a times i would give it up . Few days back i again started to listen gita on Spotify..it was better but not that much with explanations. Currently I'm preparing for neet exam and i was not able to study just lying on my bed doing nothing and believe me after listening bhagwad Geeta everything is going good studies and everything.
According to Sriman Madhvacarya The Vedic Cannon is divided into three parts:
1) Bhagavad Gita (Smriti Prasthanna)
2) Upanishads ( Shruti Prasthanna)
3) Brahma Sutra ( Nyaya Prasthanna)
These three together known as Prasthanna Trayi.
And, whenever There is a contradiction between a Shruti Vakya and Smriti Vakya, then Shruti Vakya will Rule first.

I bought Gita a month ago and just read the first shloka and I felt that I need someone who can help me to understand the book in a better way. Few months ago I was going through emotional breakdowns. My life was a mess. I tried meditation and it worked but suddenly I developed an inclination towards Shri Krishna and started searching more about his life and I didn't chant any mantras of Shri Hari, I just used to sing few songs of Shri Krishna and Srimati Radharani infront of their picture and it did wonder for me. I have learnt many things, even my perspective towards life is changing gradually. I'm 20 now and I'm happy that I have come across to this Devine path quite earlier so that I would be able to learn more and to understand more. And what's better to learn everything from Iskcon acharyas itself? I think my Krishna is setting everything and making this journey easier for me by fulfilling my wishes. I'm so happy now. My life has changed from when Dr. Vivek Bindra recommend to read Bhagwat Geeta. And I have changed and I want to be a monk. But my parents are not understanding it.
And I am waiting to complete my final year after that please someone from iskcon please guide me.
You should listen amoghlila prabhuji videos and amarendra prabhu video and make understand your parents slowly otherwise you will fall in trouble by your own parents it takes time and regularly take guidance of amoghlila prabhu
One question keeps hunting me for long.
Lord Krishna established "Dharma Rajya of Pandavas" through war/violence (kurukshetra war) against evil. Why don't ISKCON teaches/encourages its devotees to use violance against hate and tyranny. Specifically what happened in Bangladesh on ISKCON devotees. Srila Prabhupada never preaches non violence.
