tja i work longer than 30 years about a table tennis trainer ... we have sometimes more than 2 training man craft ...and here a lot of very good teacher ..
These Children are AMAZING, it's a joy to see. Anyone heard of " Li Yiyi " child table tennis prodigy, she was amazing, I can't find anything on the internet about her now, does anyone know if she is still playing ???
JacK Most Chinese players use H3Neo (or such) rubber on the forehand, and it seems good quality copies of these rubbers mainly come in black. So I'd say most top-level player play with black rubber in the forehand for this reason, and it must have become an habit for lower levels as well.
The reason is the red coloured sheet use different formula just to keep the color red, so the black rubber of Chinese manufacturer has a longer life span for the tacky surface. so most of the professionals use factory supplied black rubber on the forehand. Amateur players copied their habits.
+JacK someone told me several years ago that the product they use to make the rubber black has something to do with it. I also play black rubber in forehand since the beginning of his introduction. I think this is a logical choice because the red rubber indicates always on 90% of the backhand players a material made rubber. Intresting would be to change the color of black and red on fore- and backhand and that could be intresting too

This is the reason why chinese players are the best in the world.
Back then when kids didn't sit on their couches and played on their iPhones everyday.
Yes but many kids are taken away from home and train 4 or 5 hours a day at these schools!
