Update: I actually ended up going to digicel in Manor Park plaza, Kingston. I bought something like 40 gigs / 800 minutes for about $15 usd , 7 day plan. You don’t need much local minutes as i used whatsapp calling for almost all voice communications. They set me up with an e-sim. I think I could have done it myself before arriving in JA by using the app. But check for yourself before you leave your home country. If not just head to a digicel once you get out of norman Manley airport.
