Beat the Casino with $12 - Craps Betting Strategy

  • Beat the Casino with $12 is a Craps Betting Strategy that uses the pass line and a field bet to beat the casino. With a field bet on the come out roll you no longer have to worry about losing on crap numbers 2,3, and 12. This moves the risk of the come out roll to the numbers 5,6,8. If these numbers hit, you lose your field bet and only have $2 or your original $12 remaining and so we bet the hard way 6 and 8. Ideally you will win in the field and use the winnings to place the 6 & 8 for $6 each. This gives you the pass line and the 6 and 8 for only $12, a very good position to be in.

    I gotta say, I learned Craps 2 years ago, starting with this strategy (getting destroyed a few times). 2 years later, I've learned a lot and today I revisited this strategy. I scaled it up by 5 and realized this was an excellent base to start... It actually allowed me to be super flexible and flow with the game. I can move towards an Irom Cross, or mix in the $69 inner spread(from the $15min strat), and push to a Tripple Lux if the Field doesn't hit.
    It allowed me to emjoy my time at the table with minimum risk and score on the hot rollers! ColourUp, you've reflamed my enjoyment at the casino! Bless up to you good sir!

    Love these videos. Two things which would be awesome...(1) do a combined strategy video combining a number of these individual strategies and how you can use multiple strategies in one session, and (2) create a running tally counter in the bottom to show individual role gain/loss but also the combined session profit/loss. That would be helpful to show how well the strategy is working. Keep up the great work.

    As mentioned in a previous post, I like this strategy for bank roll management. Would like to see you use this on a $10.00 and $15.00 table. As soon as I can get back to the table I will be using this strategy. Plan going in with $2400.00, 10 games in 2 days, at $240.00 per game, aim to make $1000.00, $100 per game, loss margin will be $40.00 per game-- . I normally plan my games on 10 individual shooters, using $1.00 chips to keep track, when 10 chips are gone I walk. If that cool period starts to show I do the 5 count. Just an idea, tried of making money on my hand only to lose it with a fast random shooter.

    At least you were honest to show that in the end, the casino is going to win. We win sometimes, but they have the advantage no matter what strategy is used, just lowers the quickness of loss.

    One thing to point out is look for casinos that offer triple 12 or triple 2 on their table. That lowers the house edge from 5.56% on a double 2 double 12 to 2.78%. That said, I tried this strategy at a casino with triple 12 last night. On the come out, the strategy did add some level of excitement and dopamine hit when 2/11/12s were rolled. I came out ahead several times. When 5/6/8 were rolled later on, I decided to just add odds to my pass line bet. But as the saying goes, it just depends on the luck of the dice. Love adding new craps ideas under the belt. Thanks for all you do! Keep up the good work.

      UPDATE...so I tried this strategy last nite at the casino and it worked out well for me...I had to have a bigger bankroll because my casino don’t have $5 craps tables on Saturday nite...so my bankroll was $22 per shooter and I also bet the bonus craps per shooter for $3...so basically $25 per shooter which is way cheaper than I usually bet on per shooter...I stuck to the strategy and went around the table twice using this strategy...after my 2nd roll I colored up and made a profit of $300...I usually dont use money management 😏😏😏😏when playing craps I just throw out whatever bets I feel but this really saved me money in the long run...thanks for the videos💕💕💕keep them coming...

    Here’s a strategy I came up with, please do a video on it. I’d like to see how it does. On the come out roll bet $5 pass line, and $1 any crap, that’s it. Repeat this bet until a point is established. Once a point is established place all the numbers, except the point, for 1 unit and take 1 unit of odds on the point. Also make a $2 C&E bet, that’s it. Continue these bets until you recoup your initial outlay which ranges between $33-$35, then start pressing.

    Here is a strategy to play with. The "Strangle Hold" A little more involved but the "Just" of it is that you bet both the Pass Line and don't Pass at the same time (5 dollar bet on each) and then place or lay odds depending on the point number. So if the point is 6 or 8 you place odds and if the point is 4 or 10, you lay odds. Admittedly, I've never tried using it at a live table but would be interesting to see how it would work in practice.

    Q-1.= what do you think of having the 5,6,8 working on come out with this strategy?
    ***** I do realize that it would no longer be a $12 but what a $29 strategy that would hedge the 5,6,8......?

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats fine, if you want to risk a little more, a hit on 5/6/8 will offset a lose in the field, only issue is if a come out 7 rolls, you win on pass but lose all other bets, so little more risk on come out 7

    I like this one, but I would change this to a $14 bet.
    I would hedge the come out roll by putting $2 on the C-E, which pays 7 for 1 (split or 14 for 1 not split).
    Yoh would win: pass line + $5: C-E + $14: field + $5 for a $24 profit.
    Any craps: loses the pass line bet: C-E wins $14: field + $5 to $10 depending on the number; profit $12 to $22 (-$7 loss)
    The rest plays as described in the video.

  •  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I start with $20, $5 on the pass and $12 for the 6 and 8. Wait to recoup my $20 then press if a 7 hasnt hit yet.

    Just a heads up. An impromptu stop by the casino I had $60 in my pocket. Stopped by the $5 table and played this strategy and an hour later walked out with $240 in my pocket. To me it's a great way to break the ice on the tables to see how they are flowing and also if you are moving up from a $5 to a $10 or $15 table it's a great way to get your feet wet. But then it would be $24 and $36 per shooter.

  • @jameshoward8609

    You also forgot to hedge your bet on the second come out roll after you got the lucky hard 6. You placed your winnings on the #6 place bet (that is off on the come out) and should have just gone back to your $5 place and FIELD bet. Starting with $12 is a challenge but I often only risk up to $15 on any random shooter. This betting strategy is workable and as mentioned placing an Any Craps bet does cover you a bit better. You only have the #5 that can hurt you. Keep up the good work you are making the game more understandable to everyone.

      Random shooter is a term used for someone that you do not know and have never seen them throw the dice. Also it is someone that does not set the dice or throw with a certain style every throw. Alot of people do not beleave in controlled dice throwing but you can influence the outcome with practice. Unless I have played at the same table with another person they are just some random person and I adjust my betting accordingly. If I have never played on a particular table I even consider myself a random shooter until I get a feel for the table. ie: Firmness, bounciness, length, dice being used.

    I know that there will be people who vehemently disagree with me but I play craps for fun, I love playing the field. There have been times I’ve pulled myself out of a hole by playing the field. But it’s a buyer beware type of thing. It can go horribly wrong too. The one thing most new players do is see that there have been , say, 5 field numbers thrown, and they think wow, and throw their bet out and the dice falls on a no field #. Dice don’t have a memory and it’s a game of chance, but I play it and had decent return. I start out playing it and I try, not to push my luck on it. Dice will do what their going to do and there is nothing we can do about it. I’ll still play it and have fun.

    Hi: I wonder how hard it would be to pick 3 or 4 strategies you like and use the following procedure: Run one strategy for 10 shooters. Then take the same rolls of the dice for the other strategies to compare which strategy performed better using your practice table. The results might be interesting in that a particular strategy might be more consistently a winner.

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would just let you know which would be best for that particular roll of ten shooters. Do it again and would get different results. That’s the magic of dice, every roll is independent, and last results can’t predict future.

      @@ColorUp Thanks for your reply. To add to my comment above, if you have a favorite strategy that shows a profit in a video, you could do a followup video running the winning strategy with another that you want to compare it to. Always enjoy potential strategies from fellow crappies. My opinion: 1. Never bet Pass Line if you don't bet odds (zero casino advantage). 2. Field Bet is independent and a poor bet (16 winners, 20 losers). 3. All middle stickman bets have the worst odds. I know this strategy is for low rollers who only want to bet $12. An alternative would be to place the 6 & 8 for $6 each. Take one or both bets down when one hits. 6&8=10 ways, 7 out= 6 ways. So you'd win (a small amount) 10 of 16 rollers. Not ideal, but a good way to prolong your suffering if you only want to bet $12.

      Antonio Granatelli while that is not bad advice, it is often repeated by players that don’t fully understand. Taking odds is the best bet in the casino for money you intended to bet anyway. If you plan on betting $15 a hand it would be much better to bet $5 on pass and the rest in odds vs $15 on pass. If you only have $5, then don’t play odds just because people say to. 1. It does not effect or increase your chances to win the bet 2. Your expected loss remains the same no matter if you add odds or not. 3. Adding odds makes your game much more volatile, the swings up and done are larger. Having said that, if you plan to play more than the table minimum, add it to the odds bet as that portion of bet gets paid off at 0% house commission which is a true and fair 50/50 bet. If the dice roll in your favor you will win faster vs without odds. Hope this helps.

    • @ColorUp

      the pass or don't is required to shoot the dice, the field is a one roll bet and you can bet at any time. You can even make any of the place bets on the numbers if you like for the come out roll, by default they are "off" and not working but if you ask the dealer, they can be turned on for the come out roll.

    If you're starting with $12 with the intention of playing 6/8 place bets, why bother with the pass line and field? Just start with the 6/8 and put your winnings into 5 and the field for the first 2 and collect + press (collect 1 win, press the next on same number)from there on out. This gets 6 and 8 working for you right away and once you have 5 and the field up, you win on every single roll that isn't a 7 as you now have every number covered.

      I believe the strategy is using the field to "jump start" the money for placing the 6 & 8. Just hoping for no 5, 6 or 8. After the point is made, you may have the 6/8 placed or can use the profit to place them. No need to play the field again, mainly because this is a poor bet with a high vig (house edge).

    Just put the money on 6 or 8, Take the first hit come down and repeat next game with casino money, if you get hit again, Take half for you and use the profit to cover 4#s with casino money in the third game, continue this until 7 TAKES away your casino money bets.
    NOW you start again with 12 dollars of your profit casino money and pyrmid it back up keeping half of each hit for you.
    No matter what you will have your original money in hand if the game earns all your casino profit money back from you. If it does leave with your money come back again.
    skip the passline, better to wait for point and put your pass bet and odds money on one # for true odds, otherwise your sacrificing true odds pay out for even money on the passline, that's freaking retarded and only really stupid people bet the pass line. The field is only played once you have casino money on all place bet options. This way 568 you push but on all other place bets you get paid true odds on the place plus the field.

      (10) no effect
      (7) -$17

      Shooter 3:
      (6) -$5, $1 hard ways 6 and 8
      (2) no effect
      (8-easy) -$1
      (9) no effect
      (7) -$6
      Shooter 4:
      (7) push
      (10) +$5, place bets $6 on the 6 and 8
      (7) -$17
      Total loss: $48

    There are so many "strategies" or "systems" out there for craps. People love to overcomplicate this simple game. It is quite simple. Approach the game with your mind on the long run, forget the short term "sexy" bets like the prop bets or the field. The house edge on those bets are not good. You're better off betting on the pass/don't pass with max odds, and come/don't come with max odds.
    Placing the 6 and 8 are pretty good bets as well. The only other bets worth playing are buy bets on the 10/4 and 9/5 in casinos that only collect vig on wins.
    Any other craps bet is trash/ Any bet where the house has an edge higher than 2% is trash, and that is any bet other than the ones I just mentioned. It is as simple as that folks!
    Oh and if you are a regular you can grind out the game even more, reducing the house edge down to a minimum. Develop a count system and only bet after a certain number of rolls per roller. This will give you more time at the table and increase your comps.

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are right. It is a simple game. And GAMES should be fun, so play however you want. There are other craps bets that are above 2% but are lower than other games such as roulette or slots, so in comparison to those games they are not trash. Thanks for watching and your comments.

    Rather than betting hardway bets with remaining $2 you could of took the $5 in they tray & placed a number with it?

    I love your videos, but I wouldn't call the hardways a "sucker bet". I get that the house edge is way high, making you a sucker, but hard 6&8 are money bets, especially when you've already pressed your 6.
    I often play hard bets before the point is set. Generally Yo, any seven and any craps. Anywhere from $9-$15. If the point is set, I eat it. But it makes money if not.

    If you're not gonna bet max odds, $5 pass line bet is stupid. This guy clearly has never dealt the game before

      Chris Houtz thanks for your opinion...question for you, do you always seek out tables with 100x odds and always bet the max, and if not, does that make you stupid?

    Ever notice how these casino magicians never ever demonstrate there stratigys at real casinos.

      Casinos don't allow filming. If you could hook that up for me that would be great. Also most of the strategies I show lose money in the video which is true to real life as no strategy can overcome the casino advantage. You have to get lucky to beat the odds and win, otherwise long term you will always lose money gambling on craps.

    Lame strategy

  • @filmtajm35

    Totally stupid strategy.
    People who suggest a such "strategy" are insane and people following a such strategy even more insane.
    What's the PC on a field bet?
    What's the PC placing the numbers with place or buy bets?
    The PC on lay bets?
    The only bets to wager on is:
    Pass with free odds, come with free odds, don't pass with free odds and don't come with free odds.
    What the PC on such bets?
    Compare and make your own conclusion.
    And avoid sucker bets and sucker advice.

      House edge on place 6/8= 1.5% lay 4/10= 1.7% when vig on win, pass/don’t is 1.4% and odds is 0% so yes pass/don’t has a lower house edge, does that guarantee it will win...nope! Does that make all other bets stupid? Maybe, but maybe you shouldn’t be gambling at all, as most people would consider any house edge stupid. Thanks for your opinion.

      Color Up
      PC on lay 4 and 10 is 2.4%, not 1.7% as you describe it, which is better than buy with 4.7% and buy is better than place with 6.7%.
      As earlier stated, cover the numbers with come and don't come bets with free odds instead and reduce the PC to .8%.
      A smart gambler always wager on bets with the lowest PC and always stays away from sucker bets such as field, box numbers and proposition, not to mention big 6 and 8 with a PC of 9.09.
      Place 6 and 8 is correctly a PC of 1.5%, but again, come bets only have a PC of 1.4% and further reduced to .8% with free odds.

      It's not a opinion.
      It's mathematics.
      The Casinos relay on percentage.
      All of them and that's how they earn their money.
      Big money.
      A smart gambler do the same.

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      HE on lay 4/10 is 1.7% when vig is collected only on the win as I stated. Some casinos collect vig upfront and in that case you are correct at 2.4%.

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you were to rely on "mathematics" then you should not be playing, as you correctly state the Casino always has the edge no matter what. This is a game of chance and luck, long term the most optimal bet is Don't pass with max odds but you will still lose. But in the short term, the guy who throws some money on a bad prop bet can walk away a winner while you keep losing your point numbers with odds and go home broke. It's a game. Play however you want, wins are not guaranteed no matter what you do.
