The problem is that deeply-held and loudly-voiced opinions are not the same thing as knowledge. The plunge in real educational standards in the last 40 years has gone hand-in-hand with the descent into tribalism in America. And I say that as a retired educator. Just one more reason I'm traveling to a dozen countries to find my retirement home.

Your summary of the last 15 years was on point i think. And your insight to the gears of culture and society not synchronizing and the lack of trust that now permeates every conversation or interaction is profound and obvious at the same time. People with your thoughts make me optimistic.

WTF... omg. I love all your videos, but this is by far the best. Keep expressing your opinions the way you do. 1 day I'm gonna make it out there to get off this hamster wheel.

Really good video! I especially can resonate with the ending notes, but to rewind to the start it really seems like the stakes of posting opinions on the internet, especially with politics. Perhaps it all became more black and white when people started to, like you said, to somehow identify themself more and more with their politics believes and moved more to the extremes. Social media echo chambers are proven thing, right? So these only accelerated that change... and I'm not from the USA so I'm mostly watching it unfold out of interest and I saw this one info-graphic of how the divide of the two American parties grew to basically a cliff according to that info graphic. It was wild. More to the black and white politics and echo chambers. We really should be allowed to play with ideas imprecisely and talk about what's right and with less political party strategy and rhetoric. Meaning we need to listen and tolerate each other to make it happen. Listen here, even when sharing precise ideas we are just prone for errors on the way from brain out of mouth. So yeah, let's give each other some slack. Thankfully in person and casual outings the stakes seem lower than the wild internet, and that's where we should get more together somehow, with LLM populating the internet more and more. But that's a topic for another time. Back to the end of the video. Yea, meaning really is something we create our selves, with community as well as keeping a divine spark. Look, personal development is even cosmic. That is if you buy into the so called concept of the collective mind or spirit. As within, so without. As below, so above. Have a good day y'all, I hope that made sense!

Even if you hear what people actually think it's still heavily influenced, filtered and commercialised. It like seeing zombies 🧟‍♂️ and zombification of the masses is dangerous.
