If the current elevator is a Schindler then this mean it could be vintage Westinghouse elevator in 1980 when it used to be MGM Grand
Edit: nope it’s actually used to be a 1973 Otis Touch Sensitive Lexan it’s probably used to be Westinghouse after 1980

The floor numbering isn't done to "fool" people into thinking they're on a higher floor. It's done to differentiate between floors in multiple towers to kept people from becoming lost or confused. I.e. there aren't two 20th floors. This is especially helpful in a city like Las Vegas where some people stay up late and booze flows 24/7. Unfortunately, this didn't help me years ago when I was in Circus Circus attempting to find my Riviera room... not proud... but those were the days...

Why not use a letter in addition to the floor number in that case? For example, floor 20 in "Jubilee Tower" can be labeled as "20J"

@@some_name9306 I have no Idea why. My point was this is why it was done rather than to fool people into thinking they're on a higher floor.

one high speed gearless overhead traction machine. going from lobby to 54 in five seconds is not going to fool anyone.

I could have sworn these were originally US and the other tower was originally Otis.
I say this because I stayed in this tower a few years ago and not only did these appear to be US once upon at time, but I saw some original US elevators on the side of the building that appeared to serve a parking garage - albeit they were staff only so I couldn't ride them.

    BTW, it's "6400", not "6400NA".

Formerly Otis, then modernized by Schindler. For example, level 64 is actually the 14th floor above the ground in this tower.

      This is a modernization, so it's 6400.

Why are 40-49 unlucky in Las Vegas.

It has something to do with Chinese culture and how the pronunciation of some numbers sound like death messages.
Las Vegas resorts are one of the few places in the US that omit floors 40-49. Omitting of floor 13 is much more common.
