I feel a lot of the "when your companion kills" activation conditions should also include any kills they assist in; DE already did this when they added Dethcube's energy pooping mod whose name I forget as expecting companions to kill anything is kind of a "lol. lmao, even" deal.
Fun fact: You can use Vicious Bond (the armor strip one) on a sentinel with the deconstructor weapon. Pretty cool for sentinels, giving them armor strip.
I love the synergy between your Frame and Pet now. It's actually fun to build different builds for your pets. I've also been trying out Spare Parts which seems good on farming frames now.
I love Duplex Bond and Vicious Bond on Helios with a Frame that has high energy generation and spending. Tried it a bit with Protea. Spamming turrets spawns more Helios, which all will attack enemies. Apparently the AoE damage bond also works with this, but I don't had enough Necralisk standing to buy it.
If you're using Hildryn and you're getting your companion to armour strip, you're playing Hildryn wrong I think. Pillage certainly has that incredibly well in hand...@@xDidddle
Tested duplex yesterday with Hydroid and a proper killing setup Verglas sentinel - it's actually pretty good! Hydroid handles the armor strip and holding enemies still, and your legion of sentinels beam everything down with viral and heat. I was able to kill 180 gunners with ease Seriously though, please rest until your voice gets better!
That looks really intense, by his voice, we can clearly perceive he had even to ascend beyond his mortal shell onto his GigaChad level. We can only hope he gets better, take his time to rest and get healthy
They desperately need to now improve companion AI for the next wave of companion tweaks, as they attack HORRIBLY unreliably. Even my kubrow that has 40% crit chance, 9x crit multiplier, and 50% status will take like 15 seconds to eventually get a slash proc on ONE enemy. It's honestly horrendous. If you want a companion to actually do damage you always have to go with a sentinel. As bad as their guns are (except verglass and helstrum) they are still better than something that rarely hits anything.
MOAs at least seem decently consistent in my testing (I have a kind of ridiculous Nychus setup, and it just walks up and Helstrums enemies in the face pretty often between zooping itself back to 4k overshields)

Any bond mod that says "companion melee attacks does X" will work with helios's deconstructor as well cause it is considered a melee weapon Also, the bonus HP effect of restorative bond DOES NOT work with equilibrium, meaning you still get 55 energy per HP orb you pickup
Restorative bond's extra health doesn't work with equilibrium. Aerial bond actually procs cold so it can be used to proc primary frostbite pretty consistently as long as you play around it.
while they did good in addressing the companion choice issue they still never addressed the main thing which is their damage so in all honesty this rework was not really anything special and all it did was aid Helios and Carrier users since sentinels can no longer suffer from perma-death

my testing has shown restorative bond has absolutely no affect at all let alone working with equilibrium. perhaps i misunderstood and it only provides the extra HP if you companion in in th edown state? but as it stands health orbs still only restore 50hp even with the mod equiped and ther is likewise no change to the energy orb gain.
I really hope in the next update to companions makes them actually do damage, I know they don't like "Self Play" mechanics, but they really feel pretty bad without being able to kill things, especially with mods that require them to get kills, just feels like a waste.

Also vicious bond works with Helios's Deconstructor. So every hit strips armor. Very powerful.

Duplex bond works well with Panzer vulp. Without any damage mods, Panzer can steal kills very easily with missions that has high enemy density.

A good thing to keep in mind is all the ones the use companion melee also work for deconstructor for Helios as well!
