got this game pirated in 2002 and loved this station so much that I recorded it with a cassette recorder up to my computer speakers and would randomly listen to the tape on my walkman.
God damn you took me back bro. We have it easy these days with youtube and shazam and all that. I remember buying a 3.5mm to microphone cable at radio shack and plugging it into the headphone port on my comp and the mic port on the tape recorder to try to record songs from video games.
@@LurkerPatrol5 loved this. Yeah, reminds me of myself. I did the same back in the early 2000s. What a time to be alive! I really can't stand what's become of technology today. It's always going to be that thorn in my side

My fav radio station in this game. Wish they brought back the DNB/Uk Garage for the later games. Sure they did with gta online with still slippin but...nothing compares to this.
honestly though, and i never understood why this station was this way with the dj rapping over it,it seemed so weird to me until i learned at the age of 21 last month that its pirate radio which in the UK is where this spawned from, people would go out on boats and hijack a radio signal to broadcast jungle and drum n bass, they would have mcs rap over it live and hope not to get caught by police in whatever building they inhabited, not surprisingly, this is accurate to the time being that Rockstar is a british company, and this is likely only in the game because of that
"Analog ,Digital, Stereo, Mono i dont care msx is hard act to follow" I dont know what it is about this line. but its still addicting asf 20 years later
Gta killed it with this dnb station, from the blocks in nightingale estate, Hackney, London to msx. I have very close links to the root of dnb and its just blown up in my eyes
I remember playing GTA 3 when I was 9 or 10 and I never heard of DnB before and it got me interested in the genre, now I’m a huge DnB fan and I’m currently working on a ambient DnB album! Thank you Rockstar.
Can we agree that GTA3 is a try piece of art? The atmosphere is THICK! I love VC and SA but something about GTA3 (maybe its nostalgia due to it being my fitrst gta game. idk)
When i was in high school in the 90s and graduated in 2000, I was a HUGE trance-head, punk rocker, and DNB-head. No one liked it because electronic music where I lived at the time was new to them. I fell in love instantly. MSX and RISE FM were always my go to stations. Was in absolute heaven playing these stations. Hell, all of the stations in this game were fire 🔥.
Wow I’m living the exact same life as you but in the 2020s… used to play this game on my phone and was obsessed with this station when I was 10, punk rock and dnb are still my go tos to this day
I remember how much I like this that when I would be knocked over in my cat by a police car at 6 stars I would spam the health cheat till I wanted and then I'd die when I got bored of listening to DNB while drowning
I played this with a bunch of speakers in my house, and my neighbors loved the music so much they threw a brick and broke a window to hear it more clearly 🙃
Nearly all the music in GTA III with the exception of Double Clef FM and Flashback FM was composed and recorded specifically for the game, so there will be no legal troubles that force them to remove it.

Omni trio's music is out of this world, check his whole discography, secret life is the best track he ever made imo.

GTA 6 needs this.
Best radio station in the whole series, DnB4Life!
This station got me into drum&bass when I was a kid. I loved it so much that I became a producer and DJ, been doing it ever since
