So the song is not over yet, maybe there is a secret addition we need to do at that moment, which will help us escape. Yeah, he and GF died, and Pico is lost as hell, but I dont think that was what *Mario* wanted. It just feels like he wanted something from them but could never get it and killed them out of rage and is now regretting his actions. At least that's the vibe i get from the ending song. Okay, hear me out. Mario.ExE is much more successful as a character than Sonic.ExE/Xenophanes. Sonic.ExE toys with his food, and is very arrogant, while Mario.ExE gets straight to the point. Not even 5 minutes in, the first cutscene with him in it, he literally just states "3 songs. Just 3, and you go." Xenophanes sends in his minions, who again, toy with boyfriend, while Mario.ExE does this to win his game. Mario.ExE doesn't just want to kill, but he offers a deal to BF, which he had failed. So, he ended up dying by the end of All-Stars, along with GF. In the ENTIRETY of like, EVERY Sonic.ExE mod, neither BF or GF end up dead. In MM v2, BOTH BF AND GF wind up dead at SOMEEEE point in the mod.

Okay, hear me out.
Mario.ExE is much more successful as a character than Sonic.ExE/Xenophanes.
Sonic.ExE toys with his food, and is very arrogant, while Mario.ExE gets straight to the point. Not even 5 minutes in, the first cutscene with him in it, he literally just states "3 songs. Just 3, and you go." Xenophanes sends in his minions, who again, toy with boyfriend, while Mario.ExE does this to win his game. Mario.ExE doesn't just want to kill, but he offers a deal to BF, which he had failed. So, he ended up dying by the end of All-Stars, along with GF.
In the ENTIRETY of like, EVERY Sonic.ExE mod, neither BF or GF end up dead. In MM v2, BOTH BF AND GF wind up dead at SOMEEEE point in the mod.
