bum bam might be an adjustment but I doubt it’ll affect his bench that significantly with a slight hand placement. More to do with the progression in strength over these months
Eddie Hall is stronger and he lifted 500kg. He also just got the incline dumbell World Record 110kg in either hand for a rep. The weights had to be taped on the end.
Don't even try to think about going at Eddie Hall like that, it's been proven on with the weights & by the other strongmen that he is the strongest all around there is right now! Eddie Hall Rules!
If you’ve ever been in that situation, then you know how fucking infuriating it is when you’re battling mid rep for a pr and your spotter prematurely touches the bar.
Good to see the white dude taking a closer grip to protect the shoulders/chest. I use the exact same grip width, 2" outside the knurling and have not injured myself on bench in 23+ years of training. In the beginning you might do more weight with a really wide grip but it's not worth the extra stress on your chest insertions and shoulders.
@@thearm95 yeah I think we all did at one point. When you're young your body is pretty forgiving but once you get up over 35ish your shoulders start to say wait a minute! I've been using that close grip for years now with much more comfort.
