@@collettechilders5730 It really depends upon the #4 yarn selected because there is a range of thicknesses even within that category. If on the thicker side, a size K, and if on the thinner side (like a Caron Simply Soft) a J or even an I-9. I wish it was a simpler answer! I would make a small swatch with these hooks and see how you like the fabric and then go with that hook.
I just thought I purchased an electronic pattern from you on Annie's . well I paid for it but I cannot open because of error. How do I get the pattern plz. I paid 4.99 for it. Rose Lagos

I have a question about a pattern I’m working on it’s a baby booty pattern and it says “single crochet two together in next 14 stitches” I know how to do that stitch ......and I it requires two loops to do one single crochet two together. So the pattern is confusing did they mean to say “do 7 sc2tog inStead of single crochet two together in next 14 stitches? I Really would appreciate your advice on this thank you so much! With best wishes Delia Sent from my iPhone
I think either way is correct. The quirky thing about crochet patterns, even well-written patterns, is that things can be said in a variety of ways. Some simply say "sc dec" for single crochet decrease, which is the same thing. Just be sure that your stitch count at the end of the round is correct. (This should be noted at the end of the round in the pattern.) Also, if you are ever totally baffled about what a pattern says, feel free to contact the publisher (or editor of the magazine) to ask for clarity. You should get a response, although it could take a couple of days. I hope this helps Delia!
The information is in the video description for most of these designs, but I'm happy to repost here Eileen: www.anniescatalog.com/detail.html?code=AC04572&gclid=CjwKCAjwqdn1BRBREiwAEbZcRzAIL0HV80FykSf-_4vgA1M8grFqhjZCjRQ4PmSMi5zVvJhxZVQ4cRoCO3IQAvD_BwE&source=SASAFF&sscid=41k6_qcnoo
I am new to crocheting and have completed a couple of blankets and a baby dress ///but can you please tell me what type of stitches are involved in making this throw?
The cabling in this design is made using front and back post stitches. I have many of these on my channel, or you can just watch the video of this throw to gain an understanding as to how they are worked. Perhaps if you have some extra yarn you can try a small sample. It's ok to make mistakes in the learning process! We all do it!
BonnieBayCrochet Thanks for getting back to me. 😃. My issue with the front post and back post is when I have to do a half double crochet after the fpdc bpdc stitches. Does the half double crochet go under the two loops of the next stitch after the post stitches are done?
I have a basic question for you if you could please answer..... I am working on a baby romper that designated a 4 mm hook and size 3 yarn ....but the 4 mm hook wasn’t working properly with this Patton Grace Yarn. ...so I am using a 3.75 hook. Question is if you go down a quarter size in a hookcan the stitches across increase by a few and my right
@@Comebakchik23 Does this pattern have a gauge that shows you how many stitches in a set number of inches? (Most patterns have this.) I would use any size hook you need to get the proper gauge for your project. Usually the hook size is only a suggestion because this is what the designer used to get the printed results. Everyone's crocheting style varies a bit, and sometimes the yarn also yields a different result. Because of these two variables, always feel free to use the hook size YOU need to get the proper gauge which will make sure that you crochet the size you want.
King Cole is a UK yarn brand, but is available in the states here: www.loveknitting.com/us/king-cole-big-value-chunky. You can also substitute your favorite bulky (#5) weight yarn instead.
@@BonnieBayCrochet thank you so much! As always, you respond so quickly and so helpful. Thank you for all you do. I'm in love with all of your designs.
Here's the intro video that explains what you will need for this design. You can use any #5 bulky weight yarn, and will need approximately 1,800 yards. The number of skeins will vary depending upon the yarn you select.
I may be the only person with this issue, but I seem to have a problem figuring out where to put my next stitch after crossing a cable- any suggestions? Thank you.
I believe if you watch the video carefully, this should be a big help. If you need to slow the video down, just hit the gear shaped icon in the bottom right of the screen, and you can select a slower speed. Counting the stitches is also very helpful.
Im at loss ive watched this video several times. You say continue with rows 12 and 13 all the way through to round 46. I have done that for several rows but im not seeing the center cable crossin anymore please help idk what im doin wrong
If you forward the video to the time mark of 43:26, this is where I explain how and when the large cable crosses. This is where having the written pattern may be helpful, but I think you can still pick it up from the video. The large cable is a 6 row repeat. The repeat of Rows 12 & 13 applies to all the other elements of this design. I hope this helps!
This pattern is only available through either the purchase of the magazine (where this pattern is published), or as a single pattern purchase from Annie's, which is only $1 less than purchasing the entire magazine (which includes many other fine patterns).
@@JeanneIDeAngelo-o2v if you continue the pattern stitch you can make it any square shape you wish. Would require a redesign to alter the shape to a rectangle.
Marcia Cummings not sure why, but this didn’t get printed in the magazine. This is why I’m glad to be able to make this video for you all. The human element is hard to escape (whether on my end or others) in the print world. This is a universal issue this side of Heaven. Thanks for your understanding.
Mia Cavalieri I’m traveling away from home, so not able to be specific on size. I can say that this is a square and can be made to any size you would like, simply by continuing in the established pattern.

If we do a #4 yarn what size hook would you recommend?
@@collettechilders5730 It really depends upon the #4 yarn selected because there is a range of thicknesses even within that category. If on the thicker side, a size K, and if on the thinner side (like a Caron Simply Soft) a J or even an I-9. I wish it was a simpler answer! I would make a small swatch with these hooks and see how you like the fabric and then go with that hook.
I just thought I purchased an electronic pattern from you on Annie's . well I paid for it but I cannot open because of error. How do I get the pattern plz.
I paid 4.99 for it.

I have a question about a pattern I’m working on it’s a baby booty pattern and it says “single crochet two together in next 14 stitches”
I know how to do that stitch ......and I it requires two loops to do one single crochet two together. So the pattern is confusing did they mean to say “do 7 sc2tog inStead of single crochet two together in next 14 stitches?
I Really would appreciate your advice on this thank you so much!
With best wishes

I think either way is correct. The quirky thing about crochet patterns, even well-written patterns, is that things can be said in a variety of ways. Some simply say "sc dec" for single crochet decrease, which is the same thing. Just be sure that your stitch count at the end of the round is correct. (This should be noted at the end of the round in the pattern.) Also, if you are ever totally baffled about what a pattern says, feel free to contact the publisher (or editor of the magazine) to ask for clarity. You should get a response, although it could take a couple of days. I hope this helps Delia!
Trying to find the written pattern for this throw, Celtic Cross Throw.
Tq so much 🙏😘
I am new to crocheting and have completed a couple of blankets and a baby dress ///but can you please tell me what type of stitches are involved in making this throw?
BonnieBayCrochet Off-topic again lol.. do you have a summer light weight poncho pattern that you can introduce to me?
When you started, you didn't close up the circle, did you to it at some point later, or was it somehow hidden?
Bobby Preston I checked and I did complete the circle. It is only a 5 chain circle so may be hard to see.
@@BonnieBayCrochet You must have done it off frame or something, cause i never saw you go back to it. Anyway, it's a beautiful blanket!
how many videos will there be? please and thanks
Only 2 in this series. The second (and last) one will be released tomorrow at 7 am EST.
This is a beautiful pattern. I'm having trouble finding the yarn used. What would be a good replacement for it? I would love to make one.
@@alibrimi Me too! I Love her designs, videos, she is a beautiful person!
I have used Red Heart Chunky. I got the skeins at Micheals and used 7, 5oz skeins before tassels and border.
Hello Bonnie. I’m not good on ‘Metres’, could you tell me how many balls of yarn is needed please?
Thank you x
Here's the intro video that explains what you will need for this design. You can use any #5 bulky weight yarn, and will need approximately 1,800 yards. The number of skeins will vary depending upon the yarn you select.
BonnieBayCrochet excellent. Thank you xx
BonnieBayCrochet thank you for your quick response-I tried counting, but the problem is with me, not the instructor or video😀
@@lindanovak7232 Not a problem. I make my fair share of mistakes (plus some) over here! We all need grace abundantly!

@@BonnieBayCrochet i figured it out all ready finished my first blanket ur pattern is amazin
Where can I download the pattern the link sends me to the magazine
This pattern is only available through either the purchase of the magazine (where this pattern is published), or as a single pattern purchase from Annie's, which is only $1 less than purchasing the entire magazine (which includes many other fine patterns).
Can you make this. 80 x 90
@@JeanneIDeAngelo-o2v if you continue the pattern stitch you can make it any square shape you wish. Would require a redesign to alter the shape to a rectangle.
Hi Bonnie! I finished all 46 rows but I don't see instructions for a border in the magazine? Am I overlooking something? Is it wednesday yet? :-)
Marcia Cummings not sure why, but this didn’t get printed in the magazine. This is why I’m glad to be able to make this video for you all. The human element is hard to escape (whether on my end or others) in the print world. This is a universal issue this side of Heaven. Thanks for your understanding.
As soon as the video ended so did my project. One of my corners is not coming out right.
Oh dear! Perhaps you didn't make a corner in that place?
What is the size of this throw?
Mia Cavalieri I’m traveling away from home, so not able to be specific on size. I can say that this is a square and can be made to any size you would like, simply by continuing in the established pattern.
Vou fazer uma colcha pra cama
Does she EVER show the actual project?!?!? Im not starting a freaking afghan if I dont know what the heck it looks like!
Lach Lannae there is an entire video introducing this project here: th-cam.com/video/ZV3dwgHKR5c/w-d-xo.html
I’ve followed this to a T and I’m so triggered by the holes 🤨
That's just part of the design Tiny.
