Perhaps you have encountered this. Previously, at version 7.xx I used elements from the HMI Symbol library in costomized objects and I used mouse events (press left, relase left, etr). In version 8 there are no longer click events for objects from the library. Has you made or use a similar?
Thanks for the comment. I did see in WinCC v8 that customized objects do not allow you to add click events or other events to the customized object. I will check on my WinCC v7.5 sp2 installation tomorrow to see if it’s the same.
Is it possible to add expression for customized object. I mean I have a sensor with 3 states (3 colors) - off , On and Faulted. Now I dont want to type expression in Color property and change tag there instead I would have tag in Tag assignment and Tag.ON and Tag.Faulted will be read in expression without me going into color property at all, so I just assign tag prefix(Sensor Instance Name) in TagAssignment and rest will be taken care of by it self. Is it possible to do?
No. The tag assignment only puts the value of the tag into property. You need to do an expression in dynamic dialog or animation to convert the output of the expression to a color.
Dear Bob, thank you for your sharing. can you make a videotape on configuration dialog it is a bit different. you are selected something and you pasted them to another part. and that is composed thank you
yeah I think I am going to a deeper dive video on customized objects. The "Configuration Dialog" interface is to expose the properties and events of the objects to the customized object's properties interface, in the same way that the Faceplate Editor does. I will make it clearer in an upcoming video. thank you for the question!
