@@mattyrolph8429 yeah my dad was telling me when they would be driving through the small villages guys would come out of the crowds an casually throw grenades in the truck cabs and they would have to beat guys fingers off who were trying to jump in the back of the troop carrier trucks ….. he said at the end of the day he had to rinse out fingers from his truck….. it’s crazy how much knowledge gets forgotten as each generation dies off! Now that I’m in my 40s I love sitting with him an just listening to all his life experiences
7:57 He’s right. That does wear off. I was in one situation like that in Afghanistan, where we were on a mission and we had lost several people from a complex chain of pressure plate IEDs. The IEDs were everywhere. Two rangers and a few others dead. Guys kept stepping on IEDs left and right.

What happened? Too deep? Complacency? You knew, you even said that "you knew you were going to die" - how did it get to that? What would you do differently now to avoid it coming to that? Regardless, glad you lived to tell. Edit: I've got to watch the whole interview for this to make sense. "They knew the Program Manager, they knew stuff they shouldn't know. I thought maybe they thought they knew, but didn't really know. They let me go, and I immediately ran back to the Program Manager/CI to report the incident (likely verifying everything that they thought they knew). Then they sent me back in after being compromised". None of that makes any sense to me.
He left the country (went to Dubai) and did the debrief with other people. They knew he would leave the country after threatening him, that doesn't confirm anything.

As this channel testifies, we threw the most advanced weapons and most skilled personnel at the problem in the history of warfare. It turns out that the pressure there never changed though really; we just stopped measuring it in American lives lost.

Listen. After watching countless videos from the Brits and US about interrogations they teach them that eventually everyone will tell something. So, the objective is to delay as long as possible and tell them little bits of truth. After so long your team has heard from you so they know you have been compromised so then they can take action. No one can up hold up especially if there is torture involved. Mostly it’s mind games and so they learn to read their captors and interrogators. They have to assess what level of interrogator so obviously you only give up so much to advance to the next level. Give them just enough because obviously they don’t know everything otherwise they would not be asking you. Sometimes they just want to validate something and they may not even know what your true objective is. So, you just play the game until the end.

On paper anyways, Pakistan is technically a US ally. We operated out their airspace all throughout the war in Afghanistan, and frequently "collaborate" with the ISI. They might be amateur hour, but they're not dumb retarded. Retaliating against Pakistani citizens that collaborate with the CIA (as they did with Neptune Spear), is a whole lot different than kidnapping, torturing and murdering a known American operative.

No one can up hold up especially if there is torture involved. Mostly it’s mind games and so they learn to read their captors and interrogators. They have to assess what level of interrogator so obviously you only give up so much to advance to the next level. Give them just enough because obviously they don’t know everything otherwise they would not be asking you. Sometimes they just want to validate something and they may not even know what your true objective is. So, you just play the game until the end.

On paper anyways, Pakistan is technically a US ally. We operated out their airspace all throughout the war in Afghanistan, and frequently "collaborate" with the ISI. They might be amateur hour, but they're not dumb retarded. Retaliating against Pakistani citizens that collaborate with the CIA (as they did with Neptune Spear), is a whole lot different than kidnapping, torturing and murdering a known American operative.
