I drove this Skoda until last year, and it's definitely better than the passat from 2008. The engine was a 1.8 tsi and got no problems, no big oil consumption and no problem with the drivetrain or chain problems for the engine. I would buy it again. Ps: my superb was involved in a car accident and it was too much destroyed to repair... The used car prices are insane high in the moment that's why i don't bought such one again... 2016 bought mine for 10k euros with a mileage of 53k, now the same equipped car with over 100k mileage costs still 10 grand or more!!! That's insane!!! BTW: you can get such a car for less but not well equipped and not well maintained.
A brilliant car which gives even the A6, BMW 3 and 5 series as well as Mercedes E class a run for their money. Rear passenger is treated with an enormously huge leg space at the back with ample headroom for an average 6 footer. I own a 1.8 TSI Elegance here in India and it being a 2012 model doesn’t fail to easily beat the top cars of today. I’ve test driven 2023 Skodas as well as got an opportunity to drive a 2021 C class but the drive quality I got was none compared to my Skoda. Not really exaggerating, but you need to drive this Skoda superb mk2 to know what I mean. Fuss free, petrol engine with great mileage especially on highways, cabin is silent and the car easily sails through the rough Indian roads. I haven’t really sat in the rear seats but my parents have always appreciated that it feels like a limousine at the back. Great car all in all
Just bought one very impressed had a mk 4 golf needed more space due to family it's unbelievable how good it is and close to volkwagen standards its is.and it's more exclusive as there are so many passats on the roads.
