The v6 its a good one as well, sounds very nice for a v6, one of the best v6 sounds, i dont know how you dont appreciate them, S variants have LSD and 380hp and for a special p400 edition 400hp. The engine its exactly the same mecanically with 340hp as it is with 400, so tuning the 340 version to the 400 its stage 0+, oem. And for 25k +- its a amazing deal. Weight a bit less than the v8 and should be on par with the 450 v8 variant for the weight difference.
Ya know I'm willing to hear this out. I think with the rise of the turbo 4, most people just kinda turned there backs on a good V6, but I'm sure that thing is super fun and for the price it's hard to not see the value -Kyle
It's running inside the V8 block. Weight savings are minimal. Don't get me wrong , a V6 F Type is a wonderful car. But the P575 is a whole other beast my friend. No comparison.
I've owned two V6 F-Type's. 2016 White Coupe base model and the ONLY COMPLAINT is the suspension. My 19' Black Convertable p380 is my BUCKET LISTER and I'll never sell it...👊🏼💚👊🏼
Are you one of those lucky ones who got a manual F Type? If so you're sitting on a gold mine in time. 2% sales were manual I think, that's why Jaguar discontinued them.
The #1 thing about the F-Type R and especially SVR is that they sound absolutely insane. I know a few people with R's and they sound sooo good, the SVR is over the top awesome.
Agreed! Easily top 5 best sounding v8’s of all time. I think it only gets beat by some of the Italian flat plane crank motors. Funny how awful the V6 sounds in comparison though 😭 -Mike
Well I don't figure you actually wanted a response 😂, but maybe someone else reading this thread does. Our goal with the long form content is to create space to "hang out" and just talk about cars. Space to chop it up, without too much focus on information or achieving any specific result. The viewer, is just hanging out with us. There are so many other incredible channels on YT for that kind of content. But we appreciate the watch and comment nonetheless, cheers -Kyle
The whole video is about buying a pre- facelift, but all the footage is the facelift model. Supra is literally a reskinned BMW Z4 and comes off the same production line. Not an M2. Competency goes a long way
Not necessarily! Everything we are saying applies to the facelifted model as well just at a slightly higher price point (50 instead of 30). Still a great value! In regard to the comparison between the M2 and the Supra, I am saying that the M2 comp with the S55 motor is more or less as powerful as a Supra GR with the B58. The two cars have the same exact track times on the Car and Driver lightning lap! And they are obviously both small driver-focused BMW's hence my comparison lol. -Mike
I think people associate this car with actual British people. Older guys. Very stodgy. What does this cross shop with? LC500? That doesnt seem to be a very exciting car either. This content slaps I hope you guys keep it up. The guy driving in Forza needs to turn on the brake line 😂
I think people like the f-type and the lc500 a lot. They’re pretty inoffensive and well performing. However the 100k price range for sports cars is insane right now so it’s easy to justify getting another car that has better on-paper performance and more dramatic styling. And haha I wish Assetto Corsa had braking guide lines it definitely would have helped out here 😭😭. Appreciate the comment! -Mike
@@super-markio This video was mike, but I'm usually driving in forza and you're not wrong haha, I try to do it in the racing sim and I always do one take. Everytime I fly off the track my neighbors can probably hear me 😅-Kyle
WRONG. But thanks for playing the "driving a real British supercharged sports car" game. But no worries. For the losers you get a V6 2013 Dodge Challenger with 200, 000 miles on it. ENJOY !!!

I have the 2017 F-Type V6. Love the car, and still do. Looks fantastic. It's a blast to drive. IMO it's a classic. Never plan to sell it.
Good for you. A truly beautiful car.
Love to hear it, I need to go drive one of these to see what you mean -Kyle

In my opinion, the V6 in the original F-Type was the best sounding V6 hands down.
Just went to give this a listen, I think I agree with you 😂 -Kyle

@GearGlazers at least you reached your goal on the "long form" aspect.

Still it is a British car with all reliability issues and bad quality that follows.
It's true but in this class of high performance coupes there arent many reliable drivetrains outside of BMW and Mercedes -Mike
WRONG AGAIN. The Jaguar F Type R has reliability WAAAY above many other popular brands.
