I just stumbled across your channel and love your videos. Count me as a new subscriber! Can I ask what time of year you visited Italy? Seems like it wasn’t too hot or too cold.
Hi Steve! Thanks so much! We visited the first two weeks in July and it was amazing! The cities were a bit toasty mid-day, but super nice in the mornings and evenings.
When we visited Venice we did check out Burano and I'd say it's worth it just to escape the crowds a bit if you're there for more than one day. And now I'm hungry for pizza....
Hi guys, I may have missed this, but what month was this visit? We are heading over in June from our home in Scotland & want to get some idea on clothing etc. TIA Guys!
I wouldn't recommend it. Not sure what your mode of transportation would be, but driving is over 6 hours round trip and we'd recommend AT LEAST a full day in Venice. Especially since driving there you'll get there mid morning and that's when the cruise ship crowds roll in and over take the city. We'd recommend getting as early start as possible in Venice. Hope that helps
We ended up taking out 500 Euros before and during our 15 day trip and ended up using it all (I think towards the end we were just trying to use it up though and used it instead of our card). There were tons of spots that did take card, but we were a bit surprised by how many places in the larger cities were cash only. However, we do usually go to more street food type spots vs. nicer restaurants which could partially be why. I hope that helps! And one day in Venice was perfect for us! Make sure to get up early, it’s sooo worth it 🙌🏼
@@AdventuresofAplusK Yes, we are doing it slightly different in that we're staying in Florence and taking an early morning train to Venice. We'll make it there by 9:30, God willing. What time were you there? Also, I've read so much about the cash preferred/only deal in Italy. So I was thinking about getting about 1000 euros for our whole trip. Hopefully!
We got to Venice the night before and then hit the town the next morning with 2 hours of sleep (don't recommend lol!) 1000 Euros sounds great! We like to use our card as much as we can for miles, but if you don't mind using cash more, you'll use it up!
@@allisonroorda7937 One thing I wanted to mention (if you haven't left yet) is that banks in the US have a worse conversion rate, so we did pay a bit more for the money we got out beforehand at our bank. We did need money right away when we got there, so that's why we got some out in advance. But if you're headed to a big city first, it may be good to wait and find a bank like we suggested (not a random street ATM) right away! I have been told that those will have the best rates/charge you the least. Just wanted to clarify that for you!
I just loved watching the whole thing!!!CANT WAIT to go to Venice..we’re going in 3 days in fact…thank you SO much..wish we could meet you there!! If you are ever in Ireland…look us up. We would love to host you😊😊

This was early July 2019 and we started the day at sunrise, which helped a ton.
Great explanation, hope to ser more from you guy's
Thank you Dilip!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Pleasure watching you guys, and narration was excellent 🙏🙏
Just back from Venice, the best place for breakfast is Rosa Salva patisserie, 2 mins away from San Marco
You mentioned a pill you take for gluten intolerance.....would you share what that is? Probiotic? I'm GI also. Thanks.
Hey Tom! They are digestive enzymes
Being gluten free, did you have any issues eating bread, pasta, pizza, etc? Any tips for eating gluten free?
Would you say it’s feasible to take a day trip to Venice from Florence and back?
I wouldn't recommend it. Not sure what your mode of transportation would be, but driving is over 6 hours round trip and we'd recommend AT LEAST a full day in Venice. Especially since driving there you'll get there mid morning and that's when the cruise ship crowds roll in and over take the city. We'd recommend getting as early start as possible in Venice. Hope that helps
That's helpful info regarding the ATM situation. For a 15 day trip, how much cash would you suggest to bring?
BTW, we too are planning one day in Venice!
We would love to host you😊😊
We would love to visit Ireland! Have a blast in Venice, we really miss Italy!
What time do you recommend getting out to see the sights to avoid crowds?
We left our Airbnb right before sunrise and it was perfect! That was in July, so the sunrise was pretty early, which I think helped too!
From a fellow Vlogging on my way to Italy I really appreciate this video!
I was thinking of one day there so glad I got I get to see it, wonderful work on the video.
Thank you so much! 🤗
How are you doing with European gluten? It never bothered me. I eat gluten and dairy free.
I felt great! Minus feeling super full from all of the food 😜
Nice one 😀😀
Venice is always so charming 😀
Hi, love your video. You’re using camera gpro for vlog?
Hi! We use a Sony A6500!
What's "the gluten thing" and what pill have you been taking for it?
Kathryn has a sensitivity to gluten and she sometimes takes a digestive enzyme
Hi
I have booked a ticket to Venice in mid of September.
I am confused about buying a ACTV Vaporetto pass.
Is the pass works for every boat?
Can I go to Murano and Burano Island using ACTV PASS?
Thanks
It's been a very long time since we've been. It would be best to check their website or call them
Nice yaughts, do you know who owns them?
Which month did you visit ? I must have missed that in the video.
I'm not sure if we mentioned it or wrote it anywhere, but this was in July!
Omg anchovies…. I would not have tried it lol.i use to work at domino’s and when ppl would want it on their pizza i had to touch those things and they were hairy or felt that way…, that’s sure a comfort zone i would not have tried … kudos Adam
love your videos keep it up I'm also from Seattle
Thank you Luisa! 💕
thank you for these piece of advice.
❤️💙
Nice video, you are great! But the right music for Venice is Vivaldi or Rondo Veneziano.😉
We would’ve loved to use something like that, but the choices for that type of music are very limited on the royalty music services out there and those artists are surely not on there. Thanks for watching!
Super video! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much! 💗
Great video! I will use some of your tips next time i'm in venice. Btw, there's also skip the line ticket for st. Marc's basilica, 3€ only. Definitely worth it.
Thank you for the tip, that’s awesome to know!!
Where can I get that?
Hi Divya! It looks like you can get a skip the line ticket for the basilica here: www.basilicasanmarco.it/informazioni-per-i-turisti/prenotazioni/?lang=en We hope that helps!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Thank you so much. I discovered your videos this morning and I have made huge changes in my upcoming trip. Also thanks for the food reviews, a lot of travellers skip it along with the price so it really helped me out. Thanks.
We’re so glad we could help! The food is our favorite part lol. 🤣 Have an awesome trip and let us know if you have any questions before you go!
What month did you go to Venice? Ta

Is a international driver's license required to drive in Italy? I'm from the US.
From our understanding it is! This article says that it is the law, but your rental car company may not ask about it www.tripsavvy.com/drivers-permit-italy-468470
amazing video!!!
We’re so glad you enjoyed it! 😄
Hello,
Where did you buy the tickets to skip the ling for Campanile tower?
Also, what site could I use to book tickets in advance for activities
Great video btw
Hi! We bought our skip the line tickets through: www.venetoinside.com
We didn’t book anything else in Venice, but for Rome we booked tours through The Roman Guy (they do tours outside of Rome too I believe).
And thank you!!!
What time of the year did you guys go?
This was in early-mid July!
Great video but don't remember clean the sensor.
Thanks! That thing loves to get dirty! 😬
I might’ve missed it but how early did you guys get to St Marks Square?
I think a little before sunrise. The earlier the better!
Loved it .
Thanks Don!

Great Video. I watch the live cams from Venice quite often
Thanks William! That would be cool to watch, especially as the cruise ships arrive and seeing the town get crazy busy!
I am in south Florida and also have a channel. I hope my videos are all ok with you guys. The live cams in Venice do not have the cruise ships, its different parts of venice.I have seen Norway in the fjords , Thailand and Alaska on live cam , There are also live Train Cams around the usa..Also not far from where I live -Deerfield Beach live cam
