With lots of details of all senses, what you hear see smell feel. Details of the trees, fur of animals you encounter, crackling sounds of leaves, birds chirping, breaking sticks, maybe some rain. I love when there are forest sounds on the background. I love when there are lots of words but nothing is really said. I love when details are so present its almost boring but necessary to visualize your story.

Ok so I’m ancient. There used to be a cassette tape of “subliminal” messages for relaxation and self improvement that was similar to your stories. It’s been over 40years and I am still looking for it. All have in my memory is “you are floating on a raft down a gently flowing river” and the sound of water. I’m begging you, build on this and recreate it.

Hi Stephen I listen to your sleep story for a while now and I really do like them and appreciate them. Thank you first of all ! 💙 But this one, as and person with African decent, is not really in my liking. Afrika (alkebulan) is sooo huge. So many different climates are represented in alkebulan, sooo many different cultures and languages, food and so on. Africa is and will never be one country, it’s free times the sizes of Europe itself. Only in one country in Africa, are so many different cultures represented. I just found it sad that there is less of an afford in going into detail in maybe one country or tribe or cultural group. Yeah we’re proud to be African because we still share the same warm, strong and energetic spirit but we still divide in our country which represents each. Look in to it,the people have beautiful folktales they’re tell them children, inspiring stories which exist before the language of writing. Music and lullabies which are in the DNA for generations. But this is a sleep story and my intention was not to do any disservice to African culture or individual countries (I have individual sleep stories set in Morocco and Egypt by the way). I just wanted to highlight some of the most beautiful geographical features of this amazing continent. I hear your point and I see where you are coming from, but I hope that you can understand my intention. I wish you peace. Looking out of a curved window that magnifies the view of the earth, slowly turning, the sun petering out in it's final flickers across the horizon. As we slowly go to sleep in the quietness of space, the low hum of the ships engines soothing us to sleep as the planet below settles in for the night ❤
This was amazing! Thank you Stephen :) I listen to your stories almost every night now and I don't think I could sleep without them. I often fall asleep during the relaxation session and end up listening to the story itself when I wake again in the middle of the night or very early morning - which is a lovely way to fall back to sleep. Which makes me think.. you may wish to do some stories specifically geared to falling back to sleep. Weary travellers perhaps who come back to their homes and families or pets or just cozy warm familiar beds in the middle of the night. Just a thought... :) And thank you! ❤ Lynn

I have a special memorie about this magic place. As I walked up to the little "castle" I felt the energy shift, it started to feel lighter al the way up. I loved it. Felt a bit lost when I came down and the energy felt "heavy" again.
I had phase in which I felt very afraid. Every night i would build in my mobile phone Minecraft a subterranean room behind a few corners where I felt safer. A basement room sounds like a very isolated and safe place to have a story.
