There are two whole generations of adults who grew up with playing video games as a normal fact of life. If I was a publisher I'd much rather cater to the majority of people who play games and actually have money, rather than the significant minority who rely on their parents money.
The days of teenagers being the primary video game demographic have been gone since like, 2015.

No, this shows from game to game without showing when it's moved to the next game. Presenting it as though the games were all just one long movie.

its not only the animation, the sound team and voice actors aswell bring it all together aswell.
With the lore that Diablo have, it could be made into good movies. The whole story arc of Lilith and Inarius founded Sanctuary, and eventually the downfall of them both, are able to be made into atleast a trilogy.

It was so weird when someone scream on the line "For the horde!" And in the middle of a full line of enthusiastic fans I was the only girly girl that wisphered my "For the Alliance" and still was found...
It seems that if you wear a pink skirt with a full of lace crean blouse all with high heels most probably you play an elven... 😅 Which I do... I still remember because I was like a sore tumb among the rest of the onlookers for that specific movie.
Blizzard could literally make amazing animated movies with how gifted they are.

Movies need good writing to succeed. Blizzard has never been known for writing well, and becoming Activision-Blizzard hasn't improved that.

Incase anyone is confused and wondering what this actually is, its all the cinematics from the diablo universe upscaled to 4k and spliced into one continuous video.
Seems like you're the one's whos confused. Thes aren't upscaled cinematics from Diablo 2. They have been completely remade aside from they voice acting.

If you want me to be completely accurate, the D2 cinematics are fully remade in 4k, the D3 cinematics are upscaled from 1k to 4k, and the Immortal and D4 were originally made in 4k too so upscaling was not required. It’s just easier to say it how I did in my original post.

There is just something about a never ending conflict between good and evil, light vs darkness and angels vs demon 😃 they also represent mankind inner nature of choosing one over the other...but they don't control humanity...only influence them... so humanity still have free will...

Back in the late 90's when I was playing the OG Diablo... I would play looking forward to seeing the next cinematic. I agree with others... they should have been turned into an animated feature movie.

and when we think it all started with diablo 1 and 2 .. the graphics and storyline dungeon crawling experience this guys are amazing.
God, memory is an amazing thing, THIS is how I remember these cinematics looking. I actually had to go back and check. They were for sure top of the line back then, but these very much capture the feeling of the originals. So fucking good, man.
The updated graphics is all well and good, but watching this takes me back to that era of gaming and that's the best part for me.

These cinematics create the ambiance where the game starts, it's an entire story cuts by beautiful movie like scene, but your gameplay just tie the different chapters. the second game is still a masterpiece to this day.
I demand this to be seen in theater.
My teacher used to fuss about how I could recite Mephisto's entire "portal opening" scene, word for word, yet I could not -for the life of me- remember lines in whatever was being taught at the time. Stuff like Macbeth, R&J, Mockingbird, etc etc. Now, if they had brought in HG Wells or HP Lovecraft, I would of jumped on that.

I had the same problem in my lit classes. My professor told me it was simply because I enjoyed the stuff I was submitting and the other stuff I just got through was more of a task. This material is phenomenal though, I'd really like to start exploring more stuff like this and the lore.
Mockingbird is a great story, however they really do need to introduce more shit into classes that are outside the 'generic popular stories/movies'. There is a lot of amazing stories in horror/scifi and video games but a lot of these schools and teachers are too stuck up to cover it.
Who needs AVATAR 2...when I can watch cool FREE movies like this? 😮

you should watch the Starcraft 2 theatrics. Not nearly as long but good enough to make an entire movie out of if they spent the money and time doing. It gave me chills and made me start playing the new one

Seriously the most beautiful decision was to make the blood sacrifice flake off into rose petals as she descends from the blood-gate. Then that same gate, becomes like a veil or cape to illustrate her dominion over all of hell. Then the beating heart seen through her semi-translucent skin.
Practically a perfect animation.

Blizzard has always been able to do incredible graphics with their animations. I have always said they should start making movies with it, but instead they just used it for cut scenes and promos for WoW and Diablo.

Imperius has fire for Valor, and honesty I think Tyriel is light for pure Justice. The Archangel of Fate is likely water given fates fluidity.

Indeed, both Inarus and Lilith created sanctuary to protect their child, cuz u know, angels and devils thought of them as a threat and also a huge power house for their sides, they seek to control everything in the lore, so Inarus hide them until they became more like humanity nowdays
i assume blizzard north still does animations, who else could have done it better than them or blizzard as whole. regardless of whoever now owns blizzard.... but these franchises are best and unbeatable stil..

On the other hand angel of death Azrail is described to be a terrifying looking creature, extremely powerful, yet he only takes souls of people. Satan or Iblis is described very much like diablo, with horns and tail, and he also can take form of humans and animals in certain times.
