I don't think the point of a honda ruckus is to "go fast" or do burnouts or anything. The point is that they are cheap transportation, easy to work on, cheap to modify, and just plain cool to ride if you have a small crew together. I'm definitely buying one soon!
Well, I weigh 230lbs and my '04 Ruck handles me like a BOSS. I have not yet had problems and I have had it since it was new in '04. Mine is stretched 12.5" with a MOJO mount, has an aftermarket PC-20 carburetor, 2Bros exhaust, Polini variator, and front shocks (brand of front shocks is slipping my mind right now). Even stock, I'd hit the limiter on flats no problem. Up-hills will slow you down a bit, but not too terrible. The mods have given me way more acceleration and a little better top-end.
Only thing Burning is my bandwidth what a JOKE!!! But Nice Bikes I'm Gonna Get me One add some Extras nothing too fancy except Good Air Cleaner etc & Off road tyres for our place + saw some Ruckus Off-road Videos they seem able to take it ok

Weed whackers sound better than these. I wish they made a stand up one like a bigfoot goped with a big 60cc motor. I use to wheelie my goped for days, I'm sure I could with this thing too, especially with a rear disc brake. That seat has to go though.
meh, I'm kinda bigger, 225lbs, and the stock rear shock was bottoming out on larger bumps. I've upgraded to an aftermarket shock, and can say my ride is MUCH more comfortable! I can ride it for prolonged periods comfortably!

So with the fatty conversion are you talking about the big tire under the seat or the big ass on top of the seat?
most common conversions are with a gy6 engine which is typically 150cc, so you could get up to 55-60mph with these

no, i think its capped at 45 mph so its not fast enough for the freeways. You can put in a bigger engine but thats illegal lol
